It would be nice for BTS to win a Grammy, just because it still has kind of a significance for musicians as an achievement, but considering a BTS member can have more viewers on an random, unannounced livestream than the Grammys and the show has pretty much used BTS to get viewership in the past, at this point the Grammys need BTS more than BTS need the Grammys. Also, for how much they talk about how they award quality, they completely ignored one of the most critically acclaimed albums off the year (Right Place Wrong Person by RM), probably because RM is in the military, so he can't give them views. This performance was fire though.

@@Frozen-w9e I was talking specifically about RPWP in that part of my comment. If they nominated RPWP and RM could attend (if he wasn't in the military) they would get the views. Literally any member of BTS would give Grammy views. Yes, the livestream I mentioned was Jungkook's and he would definitely break records if Grammy got him. But I mentioned RM because I was talking about the Grammys claiming they reward quality and in that regard they absolutely snubbed RPWP. I'm not trying to make this into an in-group competition.

ARMY all know that BTS were robbed of a Grammy once, if not twice. In 2020 & 2021 their songs Dynamite & Butter were both number 1 on Billboard and all over the world. They were IFPI recording artists of the year in both years, the first artist to ever achieve this consecutively. Both tracks swept awards in every show. It was pretty embarrassing for the Grammys, as EVERYONE knew BTS had the biggest, most well known and loved song in their category. But I must say the biggest travesty in music is that RM did not even get a Grammy nomination for his latest album, Right Person, Wrong Place (RPWP) this year. I thought he at least had a change at a nom as this was an alternative hip hop album, a true art piece. For week June 3rd it was #1 on Billboard Top Rap Album chart and it has received critical acclaim by musicians, making the top albums of 2024 lists in Rolling Stone, NME and more. But as RM (now classically) quoted in their last sold out shows in Vegas, 'BTS came here for ARMYS, not Grammys'.💜

BTS knows what’s up with the Grammys and as long as Army is by their side, that’s more than enough. As evidenced by the fact that they went live immediately following the show and had millions more viewers than the actual Grammy’s. I’m making an assumption that could be way off base, but I feel like they no longer care about winning a Grammy. Their response to their lack of a win is very similar to Eminem’s. I’m making another assumption and my guess would be that they would decline an invitation to perform at the Grammy’s again, or maybe they would as way to thumb their nose at them. Who knows what the next chapter will be like after the final discharge in June.

Maybe watch boracity magazine’s guide to BTS. It says for haters, skeptics, and non-pop fans, but it would be a good refresher course since it’s only about 20 minutes long. You don’t necessarily need to react to it but just when you have a spare moment.

Hi from France. Thank you for this reaction. BTS is a very talented group and their performances are top tier. It’s V or Kim Taehyung who has the deepest tone, not Jungkook. "Maknae" in korean mean youngest, Jungkook is called the golden maknae (a title RM gave him because he is the youngest and he is good at everything). RM said :"The stage gravitate around him" about Jimin and not J-Hope. But J-Hope is indeed the dance leader and help the band to have the best performances. The performance almost didn’t happen.2members got covid week before.jhope flew in day before award show and jk was in tune in the United States a week before the performance.Jin had hand surgery. five other guys had to practice that few members day before the performance. next days had concerts in Vegas, which I attended, which was grand

BTS has performed at the Grammys 3 times so far. The 2nd time performance was during the Covid and they send the pre-recorded performance tape from Korea to them and played at the event.

Thank you for your reaction Army call the Grammys the scammy's because what they would do is they will nominate BTS and they will keep saying that BTS is here is up next until the very end to keep Army engaged but then they only air an abbreviated version of BTS performance and they will never give BTS Grammy the Grammys are racist. Also I think you should know about this before j-hope had just gotten over covid so they didn't have time to practice so two of them learned this whole routine on videos and three of the members at this time were very sick but it's still performed and as you can see Jin was sitting down because he had broken his hand. Best performance worth amazing but you can watch the behind the scenes

Grammy usually gives out awards to those who are willing to shake hands with them. I am not invalidating artists who won Grammy. They are certainly talented. But when it comes to diversity or being open to other cultures/languages, Grammy isn't the best. A lot of their diversity moves are PR stunts and only reserved for those from whom the western industry can profit off of. While a lot of KPop artists are signing with American labels and shaking hands with Spotify execs and such, BTS has not done so. They only have partnership with Geffen for handling distribution. Hence all profit goes to their Korean label and themselves. This is why Grammy or western industry in general do not want BTS to have the dominance they have and goes out of their way to hype up other KPop bands that they have contract with, only to reach nowhere near BTS level success. They are losing money on Payola, radio push, Ads, Western deals, and so much more, while BTS is making money by just doing music and bare minimum promotion. So I won't be surprised if other Kpop group receives Grammy before BTS. If BTS ever do receive Grammy, it will be because of their dominance being so undeniable that they will embarrass themselves otherwise. BTS knows this. I feel they were hopeful the first time. But now they have accepted it and moved on, still refusing to do backdoor deals.

It's been very frustrating with the Grammys. They have consistently used the guys for ratings. Every now and then they will make some comment about how great BTS is, how legendary they are, but they refuse to give them a Grammy. Each year they award the same people over and over again, or the latest one-song wonder, but they refuse to look at BTS's worth in the music industry or how they have affected the world. Many artists have commented on it -it's not a secret. BTS doesn't play the game of lining peoples pockets to get an award and they never will. They don't need to as they are now the most awarded group ever. Grammys are making themselves irrelevant. Thank you for your reaction to this amazing performance that got a standing ovation from all the artists in the room. And please don't pay attention to anyone making unkind comments. ARMY is really not like that. BTS are kind and humble and we should always follow in their footsteps.

I might suggest going back to the very beginning with their debut songs, No More Dream and We Are Bulletproof pt 2. Since you’ve dipped your toes in with their later songs, watching those 2 music videos will give you an excellent idea of where they started. Maybe another idea would be to go to the Hybe KZbin channel and select a random music video based on views. You’ll get lots of suggestions in the comments but sometimes just going to the company’s official YT channel, you could select something that looks interesting. Also, BangtanTV is BTS’s official YT channel and there’s a wide variety of content that really shows their personalities. Older videos won’t really have English subtitles.

This performance is so iconic, and it's crazy that it came together so smoothly because two of the members were still recovering from covid and so missed some rehearsals, Jin's hand was injured so that's why he was sitting off to the side, and with the jacket trick half the time they couldn't get it to work (or maybe never, I don't remember) yet when the time came it worked perfectly!

Main vocalist Jungkook is the 4th member to join to join bts. His member Jimin was the last member to join the group. Not bc Jungkook is the youngest doesn't mean he's the last one to join. Jungkook was the singing live not lip sync who did the stunt who came down from the harness. He's the one who started the show and also the one who ended the song. Jungkook is the Michael jackson of the group. His vocals are so beautiful , heavenly, strong , stable and powerful. He's the all rounder most talented member.

Well, the scammy Grammys is at least the best performance for this song. I don't care for their English songs. (An unpopular ARMY opinion. LOL). I am not an Uber Pop fan. Coupled with the fact that it was a rare occasion during the pandemic that the songs were written out of house... so the boys didn't actually write or produce them, I honestly don't support these songs. I love that so many people come to them through the songs and discover BTS. I honestly love that so many people love them. I wish I did. So far, all I have seen is that you've done Dynamite and now Butter twice and two English covers. They are truly at their best when they sing in their native language. It takes some time to get a pace with pausing to read lyrics while also enjoying the mesmerizing performances or MVs. You may want to watch them twice through to focus on both aspects. Again, pausing is fine. ARMY won't care. We don't mind long videos or if you pause. We have all been here and continue to do that. LOL. I truly hope you get to actually discover the depths and even more beauty of the group and their versatility. I'd say 10% of their music is this Uber Pop style (maybe less) but that is what they are known for. :( And 90% is so much more. Just my 2 cents anyway. I will say, since those guiding you are putting you on to these pop songs, you will probably be guided to their popular MVs first. So I will mention that each MV they do, has a behind the scenes which are cool to see. So if you do a BTS MV (or solo MV) it would be cool if you watch the behind the scenes after the MV (if you like that sort of thing). They are often found as Bangtan Bombs. Also, I know you mentioned looking forward to their variety show content (RUN BTS the show), the first episode or two were a bit odd, but then they find their feet and they only get better and better. They started in 2015 and are still going... having been on a break for military duty, the oldest has picked it up temporarily with a version called "Run Jin." Which has carried on perfectly! Whatever you do, I hope you always enjoy the journey!

Hello, Maknae means the youngest person in Korean. RM, Suga, J-Hope are main writers and have the most writing credits in that order on KOMCA (Korean Music Copyright Association). The Main Producers in the group consist of RM, Suga and J-hope. The Rap Line consists of RM (Leader of BTS). Suga and J-hope. The official Vocal Line consists of (in order of their ages for this purpose) Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook (the maknae) The Dance Line consists of J-hope, Jimin, Jungkook & V (who was officially promoted in 2018 to the line by main choreographer Son Sung Deuk). All the members have written some of their own songs or have some writing credits in their names. Jin has been considered the visual since BTS began so he named himself "World Wide Handsome".

Jk was not the last to join. He is the youngest but was in fact the fifth, joining in 2011 when he was only 13. Next was V and Jimin was the last to join in late 2012 with only 6 months training.

Fyi bts has choreographers not jhope. Jhope is the main dancer and rapper. He's not a vocalist. As for dancing, jungkook is the center and strongest dancer of the group besides being the main vocalist and sub rapper . Just FYI

The information that you read about the members’ roles was mostly incorrect. The roles are 1) Main, 2) Lead, 3) Sub. The info you read gave the role of Sub to many members. Sub is when they participate in certain songs only but less than a Lead.
