The panelists forget the $250 isn't given now it will be given 5 months down the road. What's it worth then....$200? No one buys Christmas trees after December 25th, so 10 days to save GST on a tree is pointless. You save $10. on a $200 tree...whoopie-do. Then April 1st, the carbon tax is raised,alcohol is raised and of course the MPs get their annual mega raise.

Doesn't start until December 14th. I bought my Christmas tree today as it was one third off and my old tree fell apart last year. So that won't get back the taxes I paid on it. Not many folks wait until the 14th of December to shop as a lot of the best merchandise is gone and the stores are very over crowded. Most folks I know shop earlier than December 14th. Trudeaus attempt to buy my vote won't work.
