It’s not that simple. I read a story of a wealthy person that donated 10% of his income to charity. It was a notable amount. But then an elderly impoverished woman gave her last dime to charity. The question should be “ who gave more?” But this “gift” from the government is not about that. This is a case where the giver has been taking more than has been given. Sure, big numbers have been tossed at this cause and that, but more and more is being taken and thrown around with no evidence to support what good it has done or how it is being used. My impression is Justin knows he is down in the polls, a lot, and so he's now taking cues from the trending Conversative camp instead of the NDP for once. Cutting back on foreign workers/immigration for a short while, and partially cutting the GST for a couple months. It's all still very welcomed, as immigration felt out of control the last couple years, combined with housing and food problems, a lot of Canadians are feeling under pressure. It's going to take more than just a couple months of tax breaks for me to forgive Justin for kicking me with a smug smile so many times before. I need to see economic prosperity and opportunity, and a stabilization of society, culture, and identify. That on top of fixing the horrific transit / housing situation.
