To this day, I cannot fathom why the Montreal Canadiens have not retired his jersey! Only two players into the history of the Canadiens have been the Captain for 10 years: Jean Béliveau AND Saku Koivu!

I was too young to be a true Canadiens fan when they won their latest cup. For whatever reason, right when Saku came into the league joinging the Canadiens, I got behind him. He was and forever will be my favorite hockey player. And a huge part of why I became a die hard Canadiens fan still till this day and forever on! I am from BC Canada. A true role model. Thank you Saku!
