Interesting to hear Brobov talk about his special access to SKA players and the additional information he has because of his father who works for SKA and how, unlike most head scouts, he is able to go to Russia and meet the player and even talk to the family. It also means that what he learned about Michkov through his privileged access made him pass on him.

@@user-ff2nk1by7p i dont think michkov has the same defensive game. He might struggle with tortorella as head coach in philly. Hope he does well to be honest i wanted to draft him but im growing into thinking reinbacher was the right pick

I saw an interview last year with Hughes and he said that one of the reasons they passed on Michkov was that they didn't get to see him play.

Justin Poirier aurait pu être repéché 134e. Un talent comme lui, on voit rarement ça en 5e ronde.

Ou 102e, ou 130e. Statistiquement à ce point-là les chances de repêcher un joueur qui aura un bon impact dans la lnh sont très basses. Aucun de nos repêcheur peut garantir que Protz, Thorpe ou Vecvanags ont le talent pour s'y rendre, ou que Poirier ne l'a pas. Mais tel un bon colonisé, Lapointe préfère parier sur le talent provenant d'ailleurs. Le dernier jeune à marquer 50+ buts à 17 ans dans la lhjmq était Crosby. Ridicule de dire que le talent ou le timing n’était pas là pour sélectionner un québécois.

Si vous finissez avant derniers au classement au lieu de derniers pour cette saison j'pourrai dire que vous faites une once de quelque chose dans le bon sens. Sinon c'est vrai aussi que y'a un aspect personnel des choses,par rapport aux joueurs. Sinon on peut formuler les choses d'une autre façon: En quoi ces joueurs là tout seul,ça va vous faire monter dans le classement? Au hockey tu peux gagner "à la lotto" mais pour des choses comme ça c'est vraiment pas la même chose.

Avec tous les joueurs que ça fait ils pourraient très facilement en regrouper pour les échanger contre un seul joueur au lieu de les mettre dehors,parce que c'est pas des joueurs pourris,pour les autres équipes c'est pas la même chose. Eux la "logistique" de leurs équipes c'est autre chose aussi en plus ils sont américains et canadiens. Pour moi dans le business,t'as pas besoin d'être insistant si t'as la "monnaie" et que tu dealerais avec.
