Canal Fishing in Singapore targeting Peacock Bass using Soft Plastics!

Exploring an urban canal system around one area in Singapore in search for some peacock bass using a range of soft plastics to target them.

hi so i want to do some fishing in the canals of Singapore if / when i can come over next. so can i just fish any where? do i need a license? and i preferer bait fishing something like a worm under a float is this ok as all i see in KZbin is lure fishing.

We do have a few freshwater pay ponds in Singapore that you can use bait though. Ill name the two popular ones below- Irwana- Farmway 3 (Catch and release) Fishing Paradise Orto (Catch and Release)

Our soft plastics (Island Anglers soft plastics) will not have a chemical reaction when stored together with other models and colours we make. We make our soft plastics with PVC, which is tackle box friendly and won't bleed their colours when stored. Brands such as Zman and Aquawave use TPE material (the super stretchy type and long lasting material) that will have a chemical reaction with other plastic material and will often bleed their colours when placed with other soft plastics.

why use such a small plastic for such a predatory fish is what i wonder? sorry im american thats used to largemouth bass fishing... lures that big would only catch bluegills or a crappie or something along those lines... lol we dont use that kinda baits for peacocks here

The peacock bass here in Singapore prefers smaller lures

Its part of the canal thats near Boon Keng MRT. Do note that there are no "no fishing" signs around the area but there is also no designated legal ground shown in the video, so fish at your own risk!
