I have a 2022 Can Am F3 limited. There is no place to mount a belt tensioner on this bike that I can find. And the belt on mine is bow string tight so maybe putting one of these one my bike, if I could, may cause problems. The dealership where I bought my Can Am stated that these late models don't need a belt tensioner and I would be wasting my money to purchase one. But, as I said, I can't find the mounting holes for the belt tensioner anywhere on the left side of my bike.

mmmm ok bow string tight , I would have thought that would put an enormous amount of pressure on the front pulley shaft (seal etc). This is one of these situations where I guess you have to trust your dealer, in saying that it wouldn’t hurt to call another dealer to get a second opinion. Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with the latest model but a second dealer cal might be worth exploring.

What is the lifespan of this tensioner? Seems a bit fragile.

Really good question, I’m not sure I suppose only time will tell but will do another review after about 5000 Kms (3000mls) and see how worn it is, bearings etc. Cheers.
