Ive got a blow off valve on mine and I’m thinking about getting this exhaust how could I use the blow off valve with this exhaust?
@Randy_843 жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same. No one seems to have an answer 🤷♂️ not thrilled with the idea of the vacuum switch, rather just have the electric version everyone else uses. This is basically adding a extra step. Especially for $1400

I have the same exhaust and having issues with the switch it doesnt open the exhaust so if i want it loud i put a bracket thats on the exhaust to keep it open and i do have power going to tge switch any idea what it might be?
@wernergarage70783 жыл бұрын
Sounds like an air leak or a bad actuator. I would call Agency Power, they can trouble shoot it and send out parts if you need it!

Ya i noticed i got no vacumm but for what i paid for the exhaust i expected no issues

I hear you! Should be an easy fix it much to it.

Have you since had any problems without the heat shield above the muffler?
@wernergarage70782 жыл бұрын
No issues, I left the shield over the cat but the muffler is open and seems to stay cool in that area

@@wernergarage7078 THanks, appreciate it. It's a very snug install attempt with the heat shield. Wasn't sure if people were leaving them on or not.

Can’t you run a nipple before the cold side of the turbo in the intake to maintain a constant vacuum negating the need for extra control elements to patch up the actuators system?
@wernergarage70783 жыл бұрын
101rotarypower possibly, it is working fine the way it is you just have to get off the throttle before you would open the exhaust but you can close it while on the gas no problem.
@101rotarypower3 жыл бұрын
@@wernergarage7078 Well if you get curious about the system and poke around, I would like a update as I was planning on adding a actuator, and undecided on pure electric or pneumatic. Would be nice to know if properly configured would it actuate correctly at any throttle position. Thanks, keep up the good work.

@@wernergarage7078 Did you ever test this? Possible you are going to do a diff and trans oil change video soon?

@@wernergarage7078 Also curious if "comment turned off" is intentional on recent videos? Hoping to ask is the 0W-40 oil you are using is the "correct" weight and viscosity to use? I know that's what they sent you, but is there any documentation Explicitly showing this is the correct weight and viscosity to use from BRP? This is the weight and viscosity I Want to use to minimize types I keep on the shelf. But my documentation calls for something different both for summer and all season oil. Would appreciate any help clarifying this question! Thanks

@@101rotarypower so I have decided not to change the exhaust actuated setup, it is working perfectly fine the way they designed it so I'm just going to stick with that. The oil was a great question as the manual says 5w 40. BRP no longer makes a full synthetic in the 5w. I spoke with them this morning and they started switching to 0w in 2020 and they feel it is a better performance oil and is an upgrade. They also stated it was fine in most outside temps unless you run in extreme heat (over 110 degrees) if that's the case they recommend their 5w 40 blend instead. I will look into the comments, I am not sure why it's not allowing them.

You should get a cat delete! Then it would sound even cooler!

Yep! I want to tune it first as I don't want to run to lean..

Did you install the heat shield over the rear cat?
@wernergarage70783 жыл бұрын
So I am using the factory heat shield, I just loosened it up and moved it over to get the springs on, then reinstalled it.
@jeffgelinas88333 жыл бұрын
@@wernergarage7078 IM sorry not over the cat. Over the pipe area at the rear. Does not seem to get hot enough to do any damage to the rear plastics.
@wernergarage70783 жыл бұрын
No there is not a heat shield in that area, I have had several trips on it and there is no indication of any issues, there is a lot more airflow in that area now so I don't ever see that being an issue! I will say after the muffler "broke in" it is a bit louder now even when closed. Not obnoxious but definitely louder than stock!

So what if I have a blow off valve that connects to the air box vacuum line? I have to remove that so I can put in the vacuum line for the exhaust?
@wernergarage70783 жыл бұрын
Hmmm I'm not sure, I would contact Agency Power and ask them the question, I'm sure they have a works around for that situation!

Just got off the phone with Vivid Racing and they said that you can just run “T Split” and it will function fine, they have tested with their own BOV and “competitors” which I’m assuming means RPM. I will be ordering this exhaust now finally after months of waiting because I prefer to know things will work.

Rip off no gain
@wernergarage70782 жыл бұрын
Doug, why do you say that? I know that the exhaust alone does not do much but combined with more airflow it should be a nice gain.
