I discovered the duduk through its use in the Avatar the Last Airbender score rather than through any personal or cultural connection, and I just have to say your tutorials are both beautifully produced and clear for someone without any of that context. Easily earned a like and a comment. Thank you.

The Duduk instrument was calling me for a while when finally months ago I took the decision to undertake the marvellous and enlightening journey of studying this wonderful instrument. I looked online and I found Canberk's videos. His way of speaking, and teaching, the way he conveys the knowledge embedded with a deep sense of respect and spirituality for music and for the Duduk itself inspired me deeply. He truly transmits everything beautiful and profound about the Duduk and its ancient traditions. I've asked him for advice through email, about which instrument should I have bought and other advice, and he has always been supportive, guiding me unconditionally even before starting my study. This is the kind of attitude that is the distinction of every great master and great human being. Now that I have my first Duduk, thanks even to him, I'm deeply grateful for his support and the profound love for Art and Music that he's capable to convey. I truly recommend him to everyone who wants to study Duduk. 🙏

I live in Bulgaria, not too far from Turkey. I can't remember exactly how I came to hear Duduk music firstly but I found a great fondness in hearing it. I like often to listen to Duduk music but now I feel it's the right time to learn to play it myself. The time and place is right and the spirit is right. I used to play guitar, badly, but the thought of creating music on the Duduk of my own thoughts feels nice.

I've had this instrument for a long time, but I got discouraged because I made the mistake of trying to discover this instrument on my own. Watching your videos, I realized that I was missing the very simple things, the basics... thank you a thousand times over for giving me back the desire to play this instrument...

Thank you for sharing. To be honest your 3 lessons I’ve seen on KZbin were the best basic learning I have seen on KZbin. I just bought my first duduk and began to learn how to play duduk as I have done with violin and Santoor(an Iranian instrument). I know this post is few years old but hoping you are doing well. Thank you again and hope to see you again soon with new lessons. Thanks👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏

Hey there, greetings from the deep south here in the states. I just got my Duduk, and soooo glad you are here to help me out with it. I do play the Irish tin whistle, but found this to be so haunting in sound and my love of your music has brought me here! I am of gypsy blood line and maybe thats why I am so drawn to it and have been for many years. I play 12 instruments and write instrumental music by ear as well as record various instruments for artists here and in other parts of the world. I can't wait to go through all your videos. Once again thank you so much.

Great lesson! You're the first person I ever heard mention that the reed has a slope! And I think this just helped me solve my tuning problems. I got my Duduk about 6 months ago I think, and I was never able to get it to sound in tune constantly. I tried for about 40 minutes a day many days with no results. I asked the maker, I asked on forums, but they all said to add more thread or adjust the lip pressure, nobody mentionned the reed slope and the direction of the regulator, so thank you!
