A beautiful dive through the most beautiful and peaceful capital city in the world I miss it terribly and I will never see again!

There is a reason why I love to see these kinds of videos, and it's because I may never get to see those places physically at any time in my life, so this is the next best thing. Also, from what I've seen so far, this looks like it might be the Down Under equivalent of Washington, D.C. here in America.

Thank you for the drive. I’m using it to reacquaint myself to driving in Australia again. I’m returning to Canberra after away for 25 years. Retiring from work in April 2025 and the whole family is looking forward to the move back to Canberra, from California. I will also suggest the video to my wife as she’s never driven in Australia. Thanks

Great video thanks for sharing, made me homesick for Canberra when you were driving through Manuka, I used to work at Manuka Oval 20 years ago. No matter where I move to, Canberra is always still home.

You wouldn't be homesick if you see it nowadays that areas a ghost town besides the occasional cricket or AFL game

@@davemustaki134 I moved back 6 months ago, it's very quiet in Civic which is quite odd, but the suburbs seem to be buzzing. Personally I'm liking the quiet of the city.

This is how it should be ❗️No distracting music, just the natural sounds you would here when driving. When there is no sound on a youtube video & only annoying distracting music, you only get ½ the picture ❗️This is the way it SHOULD be done ❗️ 10 / 10 from me ❗️

Lol, are you serious? It's an entirely planned city. Looks completely souless and boring.
Thanks for sharing. I've added links to two of the highest earning red light speed cameras in Canberra from my Speed Camera Locations site. Hope that's OK.

How would locals describe Canberra driving compared to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne?
@milesbrack9188 Жыл бұрын
A bit of a late response, but having lived in Canberra for 18 years, I would say "easy". A lot of people like to mention roundabouts as Canberra's main quirk, but alas, they seem to be being replaced with traffic lights as the years go on. Being a planned city, Canberra has a much more intuitive road system, although it does get pretty wonky around some of the newer suburbs. I drove through Melbourne recently, and I feel that Canberra's small scale and nearby mountains and lakes help to keep drivers oriented. In the last couple of years we've been getting a light-rail/tram system through the arterial routes of the city, but time will tell if it actually makes much of a difference to traffic. My favourite feature of Canberra's roads is our "rush minute". It seems that there is a spontaneous traffic jam all over the city for exactly one minute at 9:00am 3, and 5pm.

Canberra is famous for its numerous roundabouts which cause visitors to soon lose their sense of direction in some areas and I think this video helps us understand why although it sticks mostly to the main roads around a few inner suburbs. It gets a lot worse as you go deeper into the burbs 😂 At least people have sat nav these days.
