I agree. Altho I live in Asian country, I still face racism. Since I have Chinese descendant and I look Chinese, some people in here love to make fun of me. The slanted eyes, and any deragetory terms. I never really take it to my heart tho. It is annoying but as long as they dont harm me in any way, I dont think they worth my time. And now I just pity them. Like, whats so funny abt being Chinese lol, or and race. Racist people are weird. They will find anything to hate an entire race and forget the fact that personality exist. Also, I have so many amazing people around me from different backgrounds, be it race, religion, sexual orientation, and we're doing just fine. People often focus on the bad sides more than the good sides. Its like how a teacher would remember the bad kid the most. Eventho its only 1 in 10 of their class. Me and my close friends even throw racist jokes all the time and we never got hurt by it. Bcs we know how ridiculously it is and we dont mean it in a vile way. Its useless to tell racist people to stop being racist. You wont change them unless they want to. Thats why they're sooo not worth of your time. Just let them be. Dont listen to them. Just try to be a better person. We will never stop people from being racist or stop any social issues as long as humans are still exist. You cant control that. We can always teach our kids abt respecting each other but they'll grow up and learn so many things and its on them to shape their own mindset. "Proven herself as an activist" This is a huge issue with modern society... We don't use words right, we exaggerate, and we place such high regard on "activism" as a word that its not even about actually doing the thing but its instead about having a TITLE. Its another label to credit themselves with on the Twitter bio. Like military have their award racks... With each accolade and award stacked in precedence on their dress uniforms... This is kinda the same thing, but they're taking the simplest things (like their sexual pride or how they like blocking roads) as the credits to their dossier. But its annoying cause most of the time it means NOTHING thereby watering down the word as a whole. I shutter if I hear/read "activist" - because now it just means you're full of yourself and want special credit for your beliefs. Good example of difference: On Twitter - A "climate change activist" in the bio is the person who bitches in the street (maybe ONCE in their life), then drives home, posts a bunch of memes about "capitalism", and then watches netflix on their iphone. The person with "Founder and CEO of Clean Water Initiatives" however? THAT person is ACTIVELY doing the thing.

It's worse; she responded that because she had been such a blatant racist (while being 28 years old back then, she wasn't a teen anymore) she's now in a superior position to condemn the "racism" of Chappelle. She was going for the 'I'm an ex-junkie so now I can help junkies."-approach which is utterly insane because being a depressed junk has to do with the person itself (ofcourse they can do damage to others), while her hatred in the past was clearly pointed at others. I beat up people, so now I can rehabilitate Chappelle who... Didn't beat up people. Like, what?

So ridiculous that we are at this point. Jokes are in a different level. Stereotypes exist because, yes, certain groups of people share certain behaviors. And? it's funny to joke about it. BS. 99.9% of stereotypes are racist BS. But the irony is that Dave Chappelle didn't do anything like that. They're angry because he said something about female body parts essentially. And some people confused the lesbian story and thought he beat someone up for being trans. And also because Dave himself accidentally agreed with the worst feminists everyone hates, the radfems. Cause he does I guess but he can't know enough about them if he wants to make that connection. Just because he happens to agree with them on one thing. And he sees it from a black pov of how'd he'd feel but most women don't care about trans women being in women's spaces. that's nothing offensive. Dave Chappelle just came to his conclusion independently based on his experience as a black man. But he doesn't have influence in that space. And he's shown he could be fluid. And that he doesn't want harm or even cruelty to them. His opinion is harmless precisely because it's detached from anything. Because he's tolerate, and advocates for tolerance.
