The game took me like 13 hours my first playthrough, which is ridiculous for a Metroidvania. Dread was 8 hours first playthrough, perfect. Short and replayable. That’s how I like my Metroidvanias. They aren’t JRPGs after all.

Metroid Dread has actually already been released It's called Federation Force, and I'm not kidding. Tanabe stated that Federation Force was originally a game for the DSi, meant to be more focused on the Galactic Federation, just as Metroid Dread was supposed to be : a DS game, with the Federation Force involved in a way or another. So yeah. Metroid Dread is already here, but we all prefer to think it's actually dead.
