Literally just make a Titanfall game but instead of picking the special ability (i.e grapple hook, stim) the Pilots are the Apex Legends cast. We get a new Titanfall and I can play as Wattson and Loba without wishing for the sweet release of death. Everyone wins.

Well the proof is in the steam charts. While titanfall had the POTENTIAL to be a much better and more successful game, Apex legends had the resources time and most importantly the player base it needed to actually follow through and deliver a better, highly successful, and more balanced game. It's free to play keeps the playebase from dipping so Apex has more staying power than Titanfall and its better for it.

Servers cost real money, and require a vested interest from the market (read: kids with parents credit cards). If it comes down to keeping the servers up for the game with 100k average players versus keeping the servers up for the >10k average players? Its a no brainer. If you don't think Apex directly influenced their decisions to kill the game and the servers you're coping and are delusional. If not that you are totally ignorant of how the industry works, and you think that games are made and released on their artistic merit alone. Meanwhile, in reality, games are meant to generate revenue just like all businesses. There is a fine line between accepting that as a fact and wallowing in mental illness like a man child who thinks games should be made just for them. Legitimately thinking that your preferences should be taken into consideration over the preferences of an entire generation of the most predominant and present players is borderline insane at worst and at best extremely arrogant.

I'm with Woolie 100% The fact that Titanfall 2 is *still* unplayable thanks to hackers, and both EA and Respawn outright refuse to do anything about it killed any enthusiasm I could ever feel about anything revolving around the IP. As I stated in my previous comment, I hate Apex on the grounds that we could've been in a world with Titanfall 3, 4, and maybe a spinoff or two by now, but because of goddamn battle royale being the hotness we get the first two games killed by no lifers in their basements who just want to ruin peoples' fun, and cancelled content. I am officially done with Respawn and anything Titanfall/Apex ever again.

Titan Fall 2 on PC does play alright. Finding matches and leveling up. The server DC's do feel like it did on PS4 and Xbox. The Ping is good on my side.

I gonna have to disagree with Pat on Dead Sun. I can see a LoK game moving past Kain after his story was done and having new characters and advancing the timeline, the problem is that his story wasn't done. Defiance ending could work as the series finale but the developers were working in a direct sequel of Defiance. You can get some of the screenshots of the project on google. Dead Sun could've worked after this canceled game. having us deal with the consequences of Kain's actions and his war against the Elder God.

Golden Age gaming seems to be coming back, this decade. Now that we're out of our drunken post-nut lootbox phase, we're remember what fun games used to be. Dead Space, Final Fantasy 7, Resident Evil 4, on and on. All cool shit from 10+ years ago. Coming back. It's a shame. Hopefully this doesn't mean the franchise is dead (it is) but I'd like for a fully fleshed out Titanfall 3 in the future. They have the IP. People really like it. It don't normally do Western games of this nature. Grew up with UT99, Doom etc, but FPS' do nothing for me these days.
