Salmonella = Typhoid, it is treated with antibiotics. It is true that antibiotics reduce the benefit of immunotherapy but short course is fine.

Hi Sir, My mother is having lung CA and she is diagnosed from 1st Apr 2023 . EGFR gene is detected. She was continuing gefitnib drug and this drug was not working , after that tried afartnib drug that also failed and increased tumor size. Now again DNA test is done and report is - “EGFR p.T790M has been detected at a variant allele frequency below the limit of detection of this assay. Hence, it is recommended to correlate the findings clinically and confirmation of this variant using alternate testing methods such as RT-PCR is recommended.” And it’s positive . Now can she continue third generation tablet? Due to below limit of detection again doctor said to biopsy again after that doctor will plan . Can you please suggest here. Can I connect you over the call?

Dr. My mom's symptoms was first diagnosed as ovarian cancer by doing a needle biopsy and doctor said it is cancer. She had then debulking surgery after 3 cycles of chemotherapy and then there was surgical biopsy of the abdominal fluid and also of the extracted tumors, but no malignancy seen this time. So my suspicion is whether mom had any ovarian cancer in the first place?? Please respond doctor 🙏

I am confused, u said when a cancer cell dies in tumor, it leaves the DNA is blood, but the cell not dying is what’s called cancer.. and the other way is if the whole cell circulates in blood so if the cell circulates in blood then it means it’s already in blood and is already at risk of spreading…

It is complicated, but just because a cancer cell is floating in blood does not mean it has the ability to invade other organs and set up a new site of disease (metastasis). So stage 1 cancers can also have cells or DNA in blood but that does not mean they are stage 4.
