September has been so challenging for me, my husband passed away and his relatives mistreated me and I couldn't mourn him properly. It's been 3 weeks since we buried. I can't get out of my emotions 😢

Mine too. All of my abandonment trauma surfaced after a traumatic experience that was unrelated. I tried to talk to my mother about it in hopes of finding closure and instead she disowned me. But then I chose to forgive her. Because I understand why she’s like this. She was also abandoned and as a result she has shut down her emotions. So I don’t take it personally anymore. I also recognize that we are all just playing roles in a play and that this isn’t who she REALLY is. The stars dictated that she would be this way and I would by my way. Now I’m working on moving on and living my best life. Not easy but now I’m at least happy again. Hang in there ❤

I also asked my daughter to help me choose one of the 4 art mentors I was interested in working with and last night I dreamed I was painting a huge mural in a store and it was a similar style to one of the mentors with my own twist. So I know which mentor I’m going with now! Thank you higher self!

Wow Chris! My story. I am leaving a job I love because of the commute. Sad/ happy. Selling my car, to walk to a job I haven’t found yet, risk. I’ve had 2 car “accidents” (w injury’s, neither my fault, in under 4 yrs.). Taking action. No regrets, counting my blessings. I haven’t really drawn, definitely not an artist. About to jump all in into the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program in oils and mixed media. I’ve always believed i was never good at art, but starting to see that maybe it’s just that I wasn’t taught in a way that makes sense to me. As for the healing retreats, that’s not true. If you experienced significant trauma in your life, maintaining a healthy space is a continuous battle. Much like sobriety. There is never a time when you’re like oh, the end of that relationship didn’t open some old wounds. Recovering from trauma requires continuous maintenance.
