I started immunotherapy last week in part because the radiation and chemo, although effective against my mouth, neck and lymph tumors, were not effective against the cancer in my lungs. I am a reasonable candidate for this treatment, and I am cautiously optimistic. Attacking cancer on the cellular level seems like quite an advance, verse the poisoning through chemo, the burning by radiation, and the cutting by surgery. Medical science progress, an answer to the prayers of many people.

Because of US estrangement from Cuba most cancer patients may be unaware that Cuban vaccines for stage IIIb-IV cancers are more efficient in terms of life expectancy and quality. Seen costs on www.doctorcuba.com affordable for self-pays and on-benefits.

Its not so simple because blocking the pathway also removes the self recognition of most other healthy cells in your body. They all can be attacked.

PD=programmed death receptor, T=thymus glands, As the Thymus glands ages , Thymus gland cells aka T-cells become less effective. In immunotherapy, PD-1 receptors on a tumor cell are blocked/molecularly locked so T-cells can recognize tumor cell that needs to be marked for destruction/autophagy. a very useful option in non-resectable cancer. It could be safer than surgery to remove tumors too.
@rohitsaxena223 жыл бұрын
So what happens to the already deactivated T-cells. Does immunotherapy only prevents new T-cell to attach to tumor cells. If yes, then starting immunotherapy early can give better results (considering the patient has PDL-1 inhibitor )??

Confused... I thought B71 (CD80) was only present on APCs for the purpose of costimulatory activity by interacting with T cell's CD28....?

In the next 2015-2025 there will be nothing to forecast, the spread of innovating technology will be unstoppable by big companies and governments, Wide access to the technical data and the resources will be beyond the borders and any control, and people will have access to the internet freely or very cheap. And i well be no exception. So the only way to work it is by working together.
