COVID-19 has affected people across the globe and scientists are racing to find ways to treat this new infection. One possible way to develop therapies that battle COVID-19 could lie in cancer immunotherapy tools. These tools and the data they provide might help scientists better understand how COVID-19 appears on the surface of cells and how the immune system can eliminate it.
In this video, Katie Campbell, a UCLA post-doctoral fellow with the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, describes how UCLA, the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy and the Cancer Research Institute’s tool for developing cancer vaccines could also be used to understand COVID-19.
