Cancer in 3 Organs | Our Homestead Life MUST Continue

About 1 year ago, we bought a beautiful old farm in North Portugal with plans to turn it into a thriving homestead. But on August 18th I was rushed to the hospital with severe discomfort in my stomach. Only a few weeks later, we were visiting the IPO in Porto to learn that I now have cancer.
While homesteading with cancer was never part of our plan when we moved to Portugal for a simpler life, we’re now faced with a new reality. So in this video, we’re discussing my cancer diagnosis, the next steps and the availability of treatment in Portugal at the IPO.

Just found your channel. I want you to know that there is lots of reason to be positive and be cured with treatment. I was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive breast cancer. Everything I read about it completely freaked me out! I went on to chemo first to reduce the tumor size, surgery, radiation and another 6 months of oral chemotherapy. I have now been in remission almost 2 years. 🥳 The mental part of cancer is the biggest battle. Awesome you have such a wonderful husband by your side. It’s good to cry and be angry but then dry your tears and power on. I still find myself anxious at times but it passes. I wish you the very best and though it’s scary you will get through it! Dan and Sindy cancer is a word not a sentence! The treatments are so effective these days. As a survivor I suggest you take one appointment at a time, buy a diary for your appointments and a journal. You know I am praying and sending my love., and I am there in spirit giving hugs and holding your hand when you need a mama.

Two years ago I received a similar diagnosis. Stage III ovarian cancer. Mine had spread throughout my abdomen so 3 rounds of chemo first to reduce the size, then surgery followed by 3 more rounds of chemo. I feel I was near death prior to treatment, chemo saved my life. Embrace each day, don’t fear chemo, follow your doctor’s guidance. It’s a chronic disease, but a treatable one. We are now in a sisterhood we never wanted to join but together we are strong. ❤️

Like you say, take all the suggestions into consideration, but PLEASE Speak to your doctor first. I do think some alternatives can assist with mitigating symptoms, (and some symptoms resulting from conventional treatments), but it will ultimately not take the place of the most researched , tried and tested methods. Well, darlings, that wasn't the news we were hoping for, but luckily it is treatable. My mother went through breast cancer when she was in her mid fourties and I can tell you is is still healthy and happy at the age of 89. Your positive attitude is a huge weapon in the fight with this beast. Be kind to yourself, it's okey to be emotional and you're allowed to be scared. While I am all for being as natural as we can.... Please PLEASE listen to your doctors. Another content creator gave an update 2 weeks ago about how fantastic she was doing and her pet scan looked great and she was on the road to being cancer free... And now she's dead. She went the natural route because she knew better than the doctors. She lived less than 6 months after her diagnosis. I don't know you, I barely found your channel yesterday but I subscribed 😊- but you seem like such an amazing couple that it breaks my heart to watch you get this diagnosis. Dog dewormer is not going to cure cancer or we would all be eating it with our breakfast every morning. Alkaline water does not cure cancer or we would be making our tea with it. I agree that alkaline water can be helpful overall but please, use common sense. (I'm not saying you aren't- just stressing please do!) I'm glad to hear you say that chemo and radiation should knock it out- that tells me that you're not opposed to those things. I hate what they do to our body but what cancer does is even worse. I guess I'm rambling, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for rambling, I'm sorry for the diagnosis, I'm just sorry. I can promise you I am sending good juju by the buckets full! Our Auchan in Figueira da Foz sometimes (not always) has alkaline water from Agua Monchique. It's in a blue and pink box with a spout and comes in a 10L size. I haven't checked Continente yet but they probably have it too. If it's not available at one of those two stores in your area, next time you're in Porto, I'd bet it's there if it's in our little city. Even if it doesn't work for the cancer, it's great for acid reflux!!!

Hi Cindy, look up a place called Mosteiro De Montariol, they are located in Braga region, it's a monk monastery. They make a special remedy that is based on aloe vera, that helps combat cancer. You need to make an appointment to see them and discuss things with them. I wish you well and hope IPO will be able to give you a full treatment plan and that you make a full recovery. 😊 ❤️

I'm sending you many well wishes and prayers! We had many people in my family who had cancer at once time or another and they are all doing great now. It does sound like the problem areas can be removed as those organs are not needed That is a relief. I have heard from my family members that walking to reduce inflammation and stress was good for them. Also juicing and having lots of fruits and vegetables to heal and increase the immune system. I remember when I was having some health issues my friend recommended eating onion and garlic and it did make me feel better. I love Mediterranean food. It was tabbouleh that made me feel better. Hoping for the best for you both. Please make sure you talk to your doctors about any alternative treatments you choose to add to their treatment. There has been a lot of great scientific research on cancers, which has really increased better outcomes.

In the US where I live the oncologist generally will not help you with alternatives (I'm speaking about pills like curcumin, grapeseed, DIM) which I take to go along with my chemo. They are not schooled in alternatives and don't know much about any of them. Some doctors will actually fire you as a patient if you insist. Luckily I have a good oncologist that understands. We're on a I don't tell and he doesn't have to know basis. He seemed interested in the beginning but since then, no. I hope one day to give credit for my remission to both his oncology and my supplements. If you want help with natural supplements you have to go to a natural doctor which is hard to find and expensive. I'm doing that too, but most of my info comes from groups on FB, like Always Hope Cancer Support group. I have breast cancer for the second time in three years, conventional did not cure it the first time so why would it the second time? That's when I started looking for alternatives. Just a heads up that not all doctors are open to alternatives.
