I’m so happy to hear this news. I am a person who has survived cancer for 20 years this year. I used surgery, chemotherapy and radiation in 2003-2004. I also used mind/body wellness medicine, and naturopathy concurrently with conventional medicine. The medical oncologist wasn’t happy that I was using natural medicine, but I claimed autonomy over my body, and my choices, and told her that she will not be sued if I died as a result if my choices. I was informed by the naturopath, to eat mainly veggies in all its colours, avoid anything white in my nutritional plan, meaning white bread, flour, any sugar( as cancer cells thrive on sugar). A low carb diet definitely recommended. Ate fresh fruit, but only in the morning. No sugar after 8:00 pm. The advice about eating means once you are able to eat after chemo. It’s dreadful. Drink lots of water daily. I used vitamin C in large doses while undergoing conventional treatment. I also used essential fatty acids throughout my treatment. The fatty acids were very instrumental in preventing radiation burns, and skin breakdown. Unfortunately, this doctor is right, because all of the above conventional treatments are followed eventually by complications… even 10- 15 years later. However I have found that as long as I continue my path of naturopathic treatment, I’m still doing well. I have a vibrant and active life. I will never do conventional treatment again, if I encounter cancer moving forward. Btw, I’m a Registered Nurse, and understand my rights to advocate for myself in those situations.

Stage 4 melanoma gone 5 years for me. Had immunotherapy but had to stop early due to complications with autoimmune disease. Went vegetarian for 2 years and slowly added wild caught salmon and fresh fish. No sugars. Budwig protocol. Water fasting allows for autophagy and cellular repair. I do it for a week-10 days three or 4 times a year. Johanna Budwig was Dr. Warburg’s assistant that further developed an omega 3 enhanced diet to help oxygenate the cells. Autoimmune disease goes away during this diet also.

My friend was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer 3 months ago , she was given 8 to twelve months to live. Her lung tomography showed a big shady area. After reading Dr Seyfried, she followed the ketogenic diet together with immunotherapy. After one month into the treatment, her doctor stopped the immunotherapy , because the lung was functioning at 90% capacity. She is still using the ketogenic diet and following up with doctors checkups.

Watching the interviewer react to Dr. Seyfried is very instructive. After caring for my stage four breast cancer sister for 18 months I believe that Dr. Seyfried is absolutely correct but at the same time I understand that it is very difficult for most people to believe that he is right while the entire medical establishment is wrong. However my sister was given two months to live in January 2022, perhaps one year at the outside with aggressive chemo. After following Dr. Seyfried's protocol my sis is doing far better 18 months later with neither chemo nor radiation and her doctors have no idea why she is still with us.

@@bobcocampo Both put you into ketosis and fasting promotes autophagy. Plants contain nutrients and polyphenols which are protective. 3:39: 🔬 Dr. Thomas Seyfried discusses a groundbreaking study on glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer, and the importance of metabolic therapy in its management. 7:04: ⚕ Cancer is not a genetic disease, but a metabolic disease that can be managed through nutritional ketosis and targeted therapies. 13:07: 🔬 Cancer is primarily an environmental problem caused by damage to mitochondria, leading to fermentation and reliance on glucose and glutamine as fuel sources. 19:23: 💡 Cancer is a mitochondrial metabolic disease and current treatments are largely ineffective. 24:57: 🔬 Cancer cells have a unique metabolic phenotype and do not require oxygen for survival, which challenges the belief that cancer is solely a genetic disease. 31:45: 💡 Cancer is a metabolic disease and not solely caused by genetics, but there are challenges in changing the current scientific and medical institutions to reflect this understanding. 36:19: 🔬 The increase in cancer cases is due to a combination of factors including diet, lifestyle, and environmental changes. 41:34: 🔬 The origin of cancer is damaged mitochondrial function caused by either environmental factors or inherited risk factors, but there is no single gene that is 100% responsible for cancer development. 47:33: ✨ Chemotherapy can still be used alongside metabolic therapies, but at lower dosages and with greater selectivity to kill tumor cells with less toxicity. At first I followed Dr Gundry for low lectin diet and after Dr Ken Berry on carnivore diet which I am almost all on now. I have had very good results. Please read the numerous healing testimonial comments below each youtube video of these doctors. The whole idea is to stop feeding the cancer so the cancer dies instead of you. Stop all high lectin foods.. they feed the cancer. Stop Milk,Grain fruit or anything sweet..seed oils only eat olive oil butter grass fed beef and animal fat and low lectin vegetables . When you stop eating grain animal fat takes the place for energy but without the high lectin factor. Animal fat does not make you fat. It is the bad seed oils and grain that gives all that fatty puffiness on your body which is actually enflamed cells not fat. The meat and fat will increase bone mass and mussel mass and get rid of that so called fat on you. Be sure and transition the new diet slowly because my dad switched fast and all the toxins rushed into his intestine clogging it up causing him to get a colostomy bag because he couldn't have a bowel movement . It is diet and especially FASTING that can help people the most, especially for prevention which is the best option if possible! Some benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting. Fibrosis/scarring is reversed over time. Fasting increases nitric oxide release. Fasting restores NAD+ to healthy levels. Vitamin D plasma levels are increased as fasting improves metabolic health, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any 'foreign material' like spikes that are not supposed to be there. Whether natural or unnatural in origin.. Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. Reflexes and short term memory are increased. Fasts from 36-96 h increase metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release! After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles up to 1/3 of all immune bodies, rejuvenating your entire immune system. Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures. Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. The thymus also plays a vital role in fighting cancer. Blood sugar and insulin are lowered when fasting, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus. Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue! The hunger hormone ghrelin also lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting. When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell required for viruses to replicate. What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many meds are dangerous to take while fasting. Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone. Fasting also increases insulin sensitivity, which helps with muscle building. Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. They also may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS. Fasting reduces pain and anxiety by stimulating the endocannabinoid system in a similar way to CBD oil. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance, which impairs immune function. One day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! Stomach acid is reduced over time while fasting and can allow for the healing of treatment resistant ulcers. Some patients may need continued acid reduction medication while fasting. Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No. Except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose. Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism, fighting infection and cancer prevention! Fasting releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers. When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, destroying them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer. A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and extremely low carbs. Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness or tremors, then simply break the fast and seek advice. Yes, it is very urgent that he and his colleagues get their protocol written up and implemented into trials. The process of starving the cancer and then also getting other drugs approved to aid in the process is one that really needs to be strictly followed if this treatment is going to be adopted. I watched another interview where it stood out to me when he talked about the profound wreckage of peoples bodies and lives from the harsh effects of chemo and radio, so thats another important dimension...following people in the appropriate stage of the trials to monitor their performance compared to those on traditional standard of care. If it goes the way he says then that will be a big eye opener for the medical profession I think.

Had my right kidney removed this past Tuesday (April 2, 2024). This was found accidentally from a MRI for back pain. I had no symptoms, I am a very healthy 72 year old. We live a healthy live style, never smoked, no high blood pressure, no diabetes we are very active, hike, walk and we’re cyclist. I did full keto 5 years ago and watch my carbs and sugar now (probably need to be more constant with it now). My mother died of pancreatic cancer, sister died of lung cancer and 3 years ago another sister had her kidney removed. Her lifestyle is totally opposite of mine, lifetime smoker, diabetes, high blood pressure and no exercise. Doctors think it is genetic, I have not gotten my pathology report yet as it has only been 4 days since surgery. So far scans show no spread of the cancer". I do believe that your research is on target, I plan to correct my eating and hopefully keep this cancer away. Look forward to the protocol you are putting together for doctors, and pray someone can fund a facility for this type of treatment.

So refreshing to see a doctor that reveals the truth of metabolic mitochondrial diseases. Cancer being only one. I have "Long Covid" after previously enduring ME/CFS since 2014. My disease, too, is a metabolic disorder which doctors don't recognize because it isn't taught. the mitochondrial damage interrupts the metabolism in insidious ways. I had no medical support. Instead my medical treatment was gaslighting that I have a mental health disorder, wasn't "trying hard enough", and even after I eventually DIAGNOSED MYSELF there's no "FDA-approved treatment" anyway so there's nothing to be done in the views of the doctors. I have had to attend months of medical lectures to learn how to treat myself and inform my coperative doctor what needs to be done. This is not how the medical profession should be operating. I am merely forced to deal with it on my own, mostly. Even though I am profoundly ill with no support. Cancer at least people can empathize because it is a well-marketed disease. With my disease, since there is no biomarker, we are all presumed to be fakers. We face disbelief and stigma while going without effective medical treatment that might support our wellness to function in life.

My daughters oncologist just told us..... diet doesnt matter. I was horrified.

That only shows, as Seyfriend said himself, the profound ignorance about cancer of some oncologists, which is really sad and will put cancer patients's lives in danger, told that oncologist to research Dr. Thomas Seyfriend please, even if she doesn't believe it, he is got over 200 peer review papers, he knows what he is talking about, he isn't some pseudoscience wacko doctor supporter, he only talks about things he knows.

Excellent information by Dr. Seyfried...... The interviewer definitely struggled with understanding how best to approach Dr. Seyfrieds vast knowledge of cancer.. The medical establishment doesnt make money if people are healty.

Super interesting and informative thanks! ❤ People also ‘inherit’ lifestyle and poor food habits too 😢 T. Colin Campbell, the China Study also got negative criticism from colleagues for going against dogma after decades of outstanding work at Cornell 😢 stay strong!
