I am always saying WE GOT THIS in real life and online. We all have our own struggles and I believe we can get through anything together. When I was diagnosed with cancer in September, I thought this was my own struggle but I realised my cancer has affected everyone around me. I am a daughter, a girlfriend, a sister, a friend, a cousin, a grand daughter & more. I know my journey has affected everyone around me and I know now more than ever that I have no choice but to get better. Whatever life throws at us, we are going to get through it together. We Got This

There are lots of children out there who need good loving homes. I wasn't able to have children so I adopted two. No better feeling than when they put a child in your arms. Only difference was I wasn't laying in a bed we met both of our children in an office. It was still very exciting and now that I'm an old lady I know I wouldn't change my life for the world.

The advances in science and medicine regarding freezing your eggs for a future family is truly a blessing. Surrogacy is an amazing option. Just the fact that you have eggs frozen is huge. I truly believe God has paved the way for you to be a mom, a healthy mom at that. It may not be traditional, but possible 😊. Prayers and love to all.❤🙏🏻

Surrogacy within families can be an option, but there are serious ethical problems with surrogacy outside the family unit, when money is involved.

I’m hoping that your sister is able to help you with a baby. That is done often within families. But first things first. You must be fully healed and recovered. And your sister , if she indeed would choose to carry your baby, needs time to decide and get used to the idea. Meanwhile, you’re continuing to heal. But I think after all, you will be THE most loving Angel of a new Mommy!!! So full of love are you, your child will flourish, no doubt! With Matt and your genes, she’s bound to be so lovely !!! And if he’s a boy.. the good looks of his Daddy and sweetness of his Mommy… a wonderful little boy for sure!!! What a great thing to think about, having a baby! ❤️❤️❤️

Yes, sometimes even a good friend can be a surrogate. I recall when a friend was having difficulty with trying to start her family. I would have been more than willing to be a help, since I had successfully carried my daughter. In the end it wasn’t needed, but I was more than willing.

A lot of times people have been angry even when she missed posting on days she said she would, she had cancer!!! Geez, I would not be at all apologetic, but she was/is. How dare people tell her these things like you must give us a video no matter how you are feeling, you owe us! No, she does not! And then when she needs to go back to work, that is her business!! Are you kidding me? She just got out of that major surgery and back home not long ago and they are telling you what you should do already. Nobody seems to teach their children manners anymore, work ethics, respect, and you don't always get what YOU want!! Sorry I'm ranting/venting, I just get so worked up by this subject because parents in America tend to want to be friends instead of parents to their offspring, they need life skills. I have friends and relatives who have 30-something children and their families living with them, on welfare and food stamps, no plans to get off of either one. Excuse me, I work for a living and was taught work ethic, kindness, how to treat customers in a retail setting and welfare is only for when you absolutely need it until you get on your feet, soon, not 10 years from now. And I have to go now because I'm having flashbacks of the very last time (ever) I will have been in a WalMart when somebody 500 pounds to my guesstimation ran me over with the scooter they supply there to get to a frozen pizza part of the freezer isle. Oh Please!! No wonder we Americans are laughed at. We have gone downhill since the no spank rules.

Take your time, Tiffany. The emotional reaction often comes when the physical threat isn't acute anymore. Depression, anger is very common and that may collide with expectations from others and maybe yourself "It's over! You should be happy! Thankful!" Of course you're all that too, but allow yourself to feel whatever you feel. If you try to skip over this phase, it will most likely catch up with you. You don't owe anybody anything, not even an explanation.

My mum had a stoma bag and used to worry about finding bathrooms when we were out. Just so you know as a stoma patient you are eligible for a radar key which means you can use disabled toilets where there is a sink etc in the cubicle. Just thought it might be useful for you. You can apply for one online.

From personal experience, I understand your pain. I had a hysterectomy at 24 and my dream was to have a dozen kids...5 years after my hysterectomy, I adopted a beautiful daughter than 3 years later came my son. I am thankful and blessed to have them however I will be honest I still long for my other 10. I don't mind that I did not physically carry them as I love and appreciate them even more. I just hate that adoption is so expensive and I had to go thru so much to adopt them. Tiffany you got this and I am praying one day you have children of your own too.

Tiffany, I totally get the issue of looking healthier than we are. The literal abuse and discrimination that comes from this is very real. My combined genetic and autoimmune challenges are like having cancer: EDS, SLE, Scleroderma, Sjogrens, RA, OA, mild MS, Hashimotos Thyroiditis. Stroke at 26, heart attack at 44. I look 100 percent healthy, try to appear so. People think I'm lying, exaggerating etc. Needless to say, I never feel well. So you have my empathy. We've got this, dear girl. You take all the time you need and want, live your life as YOU choose. I use Clinique moisturizer, and love it! Lots of love from me here in snowy Michigan USA 🤗🇺🇲💕

Its been a year since i finished all the treatments and im very happy and thankful im cancer free and i can live my life again, but the mental part after cancer is very hard! The having no babies is the hardest for me at the moment, i can cry about it almost every day and i let myself do that because it is part of the proces!

That is a very mature way of looking at your recovery. The aftermath of having cancer will stir up many emotions and suppressing them is not healthy. I’m sorry that you can’t have your own biological children but then I think of how many beautiful angels are born into a life with parents who don’t want or love them who would love to make a family with people like you, and life doesn’t seem so bad. ❤

Everything will happen for you in time, Tiff - work, babies, all sorts of wonderful exciting adventures - it all lies ahead, and you’ve battled for it, you deserve it all. And it will come, when the time is right you will find a way. But there is nothing wrong taking the time to focus on yourself initially, to recover, get stronger physically and emotionally, because those milestones will be waiting for you to take on whenever you’re ready. Don’t put yourself under pressure, don’t be too hard on yourself or let others rush you... this is YOUR life, YOUR time, and YOU have every right to do whatever you feel you want to with that gift. My dear you are so young, there is plenty of time for children. Don’t let other people make you feel bad, and you never have to have an excuse or explain yourself! People love to be tell others what’s best for them. Do not let those things bother you for one second. You, do you, you are doing amazing! I have gone through major health issue and till this day people still want to voice their opinions. I just act like I’m listening and smile. I had my one and only son at 40, he is now getting ready to graduate high school and go tho college. I’m glad I was older, I have had so much joy and patients with him, that I probably would not have had at a younger age. God has a plan for each of us. It is bigger than what we know are think. I have had 4 close bouts with death. God has always brought me through. Just remember, it’s not the trials we go through, it’s the lessons we learn. God is always with you, always. God bless you and those that love you, just be happy and prosper.🙏🥰

I absolutely understand what you mean when you say cancer has changed your perspective on working, money, and chasing after the next material thing. When you come so close to dying and are given that chance to keep living, it really makes us examine ourselves and our lives. It really clarifies what is important and what is not. I know before I experienced this, I had a job which I really liked, and I had my family (husband and 2 sons), but I let work dictate my life and take me away from my family. I worked 70+ hours a week, and I couldn't find a proper balance. I knew I needed to change, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. As I was lying in the hospital so very ill and not knowing if I would live or not, I remember lying in my hospital bed one night all alone, and I suddenly knew that if I survived this, I would never go back to the job I had. The job itself is what nearly killed me at that time, and what led to my subsequent brushes with death. To this day, I am physically unable to go back to work. But if I were to ever be able to work again, it would not be like before. I cherished the time I then had to actually focus on my family and be there for them. Now, I have grandchildren and am very involved in their upbringing, and I am so blessed to see their day-to-day growth and development. So, Tiffany, you go back to work when and if you are ready. Do not let other people dictate your life.

I can't thank you enough Tiffany 🙂 you were meant for me to cross paths with me on our journeys. Everything that you express, talk about is exactly what I try and express to others when they have questions. I can't believe the people who have never had cancer tell me what I should or shouldn't be doing. If I try to explain, they might get cranky with me. You touched on the same thing in terms of people saying that you look like you can go back to work. You hit it exactly right, people think that bc we look well on the outside we are no longer battling "C" word. It never ceases to amaze me that people around me who know nothing about cancer or even compare me and my journey to someone else who they know. It's like they get offended if I don't agree. So, thank you so very much for mentioning this that you go through as well ♥️ I will be finding out at the end of this month if my cancer has metastasized. I don't have family who live around me and my friends have their own lives. I went through my surgery and then treatments completely on my own. I don't want to do it again, I don't think that I will go through it alone again. You are so inspiring to me Tiffany, bless your heart you are so precious. Thank you for sharing your journey 💗💗💗

Your skin looks amazing always and even more so after all you've been thru. Tiff, look for "clean" skin products from "clean" companies especially since your whole body doesn't need the chemicals and endocrine disruptors in so many products. 😍👍💕💕💕

I remember my Mum treated me to a Chanel skin and make up session and all the make up artist could keep saying was how small my eyes were! Lol. It was truly bizarre and I was bewildered by her audacity to say that to someone who was paying to enjoy some indulgence. My eyes were _not_ that small, lol. But after leaving and thinking about it, I felt really confused as to why that happened.

I don't get that either! You are there to enjoy a gift somebody gave you and all they do is point something out that is beyond your control, and nothing at all wrong with it. What was he doing, suggesting ways to make them look bigger or just saying they were small for unknown reasons? Just rude after your mom wanted to give you something very nice to enjoy.

Yes, yes & yes! I no longer put myself through the overbearing critique of a cosmetics counter person. They try to make you feel you’re not enough, “without”… fill-in-the-blank (s). You want to be polite, but it’s always uncomfortable if you leave not helping their sales quota. Simplify. Research your skin type & go with products that do NOT have all the endocrine disrupters & chemicals designed to make your skin even drier. Thank goodness someone spoke the words with love. 💙💙💙

I always go to the cosmetics counter only after researching what I need and when they try their hard sell tactics I give them a hard no. I have been known to walk away from counters if the sales people are rude or too pushy. I find if you go in and ask for a product by name and quantity ( Clinique Moisture Surge 100mls) it lets them know you are on a mission and they don't push... Lol

Tiffany, I’m a solid year out of chemo and 16 months since surgery, and I’m still just regaining my stamina. It is a process. What people see on the outside does not paint the real picture. I experienced the same - ‘oh you must be fine now’ - ‘just put it behind you’. People are clueless, because it’s not something anyone wants to really discuss, unless they are going through it or a loved one has been through it. Just take good care of yourself! I’m so glad you’re through your surgery and on the road to recovery! Sending love.

I don’t know why health companies push juices as they do; it’s common knowledge that many of the nutrients are lost by juicing fruits and vegetables as opposed to putting them into a Ninja or Vitamix. I do love a good ginger, garlic or turmeric shot though. PS the striped tee is really cute 😍

Tiffany!!! Firstly... You go back to work when you WANT to. Not when you're recovered from this journey which could be such a long time mentally but when you are ready to. Like you say, this rollercoaster has given you so much perspective on life.. LIVE IT! Also... You are going to be the most incredible mother one day. It doesn't matter how you achieve it, that child will be yours to love forever. It's ok to feel sad about not being able to carry your own child but remember even that has its downs! I would loveeee another child but would also love to skip the pregnancy part. Keep focusing on those positives. Some days the negatives will be at the forefront but knock them right back. Second chance at life 💙💙💙 You are suchhhhhh wonderful person xxxxxxx

Please don't listen to other people about what you "should" do. What you must do now is continue to rest and let your body heal. Tiffany, I had a small cancer removed from my nose years ago. Dear Tiff, perhaps instead of looking at your health as ONE issue, give each issue you've faced the time to heal. Like cancer meds are one, your bum another, your colostomy another, major surgery of your insides another, and mental health yet another. Each issue can take a different amount of time to get back to normal. I've heard that our bodies really don't recover 100% from major surgery until a year out, and you've faced more than just that one. Your journey has been nothing but amazing so far. Relax, breathe, live, repeat🥰 With love and hugs from America, Gina

Tiffany I had a radical hysterectomy at 21years old, and I wear an estrodot patch(estrogen). I stick it on my tummy, and I change it every 3 days. It is really small and clear, so much easier than taking a pill every day. It has worked great for me, no more hot flashes and all the other side effects menopause brings. It is important you start hrt soon. Do they do bio identical hormone therapy in the UK? Ask your dr if they do. Glad to see you are doing so well. I understand how you feel, my radical hysterectomy was a soul shattering experience for me. I always wanted to have children, but that choice was taken away from me due to an incurable illness. It still breaks my heart if I let myself think about it. If you have trouble sitting get a donut to sit on, people with hemorrhoids use them. It will make sitting a lot more comfortable. For a moisturizer I like to use CeraVe for normal to dry skin, I use the cream one not the lotion. I use it on my face, neck, and entire body really. It is a great moisturizer and is very well priced. Stay blessed 💜.

Tiffany, I use Argan oil on my body after shower and my face lightly each night before bed. We dehydrate while sleeping. With your stoma you may need electrolyte daily some months. I use LMNT from Amazon in water daily. Not having your hormones worked out can also cause dry skin. Recipe I enjoy that serves 5 days. Baked oatmeal 350f 40 minutes 8x8 oiled or buttered pyrex. 3 cups oats (not quick kind) 1 cup Oat milk or substitute with almond/macadamia 1/2 cup pure honey or maple syrup Pinch salt 2 eggs 1 cup berries If you mix bananas then cut back on the sweetener. Once you can digest nuts 1/4 almond slivers or pecans or walnuts ground up. Serving size is about the same for overnight oats. Just cover in fridge once cool. Filling and easy to digest. Becky at scratch pantry makes and freeze in larger amounts. Depending on weather you might need a bit more milk before baking. I like it a bit soupy around edges before popping into oven. Dab butter on top if you like too. Don't fret over people talking about working. Your experience takes 6 to 10 months before even considering. Just build strength daily and enjoy life as you heal. You can control work load based on needs and energy. Having stoma can also dictates what you can do. Dehydration happens quickly. Just work to live not live to work. Big hugs, very happy you are finding your normal💙💙💙💙

Tiffany, I wish I had written this yesterday before the Stoma nurse came, but I got distracted. Anyhow, in your last video, you mentioned that you had packed some Stoma bags in your car. My thought is that cars do not have constant temperatures. In the winter, they can be very cold, and in the warmer months, they can be extremely hot. Those changes in temperatures might cause the bags to harden and crack, plus the adhesive might degrade and become weakened or useless depending on how long they have been in the car. I am no expert on these matters, so please consult your health care providers.
