I am glad that the immunotherapy worked on Ariella. I hope that she continues to be fine without any cancer and live to a ripe old age.

Hi everyone! I’m here on this video because my girlfriend Georgia is suffering from this illness. She’s young, beautiful, and fighting. If you’re reading this can you do me favor? Please add her to your prayers. I believe that prayers are more powerful than anything else. We are not that rich to give her all the treatment she needs. I believe she will get better soon! Thank you and God bless you all!

Sorry that was not the answer i was looking for. My specific Question is - what foods or drinks cause Hodgkins Lymphome or is is autoimmune. None of My ancestors, parents had / have it. Only Ive got it. Would appreciate if you stay to the point without writing too much. i hate reading long replies. Thanks
@CancerResearchInstitute3 жыл бұрын
Hi Henry. Cancer begins when cells acquire the ability to grow uncontrollably and ultimately invade and damage the body’s normal tissues. In the case of Hodgkin lymphoma, the cancer cells originate from lymphocytes, a specific type of white blood cell. Specific foods and drinks do not cause Hodgkin lymphoma and cancer is not an autoimmune disease. *Excessive* consumption of alcohol and red, processed meats are associated with some cancers, but not Hodgkin lymphoma. Hodgkin lymphoma is associated with a weakened immune system, such as a chronic medical condition (infection, obesity) or ongoing immuno-suppressive medical treatment. However, it is not possible to point to one specific cause for the initial mutations that turn healthy cells into cancer cells. There are several potential causes of and risk factors for cancer, including 1. Genetic Causes of Cancers, e.g. Lynch syndrome, an inheritable genetic disorder that prevents cells’ ability to repair their DNA when damage occurs 2. Behavioral Causes of Cancer, e.g. *excessive* exposure to ultraviolet light, use of tobacco, consumption of alcohol or processed meats, inflammatory conditions 3. Environmental Causes of Cancer, e.g. excessive sun exposure (UV), chemical carcinogen exposure, high-dose chemotherapy and radiation, hormonal drugs, immune-suppressing drugs, radioactive materials 4. Viral and Bacterial Causes of Cancer, e.g. HPV, HBV, HCV, EBV, KSHV, Human T-lymphotropic virus, Merkel cell polyomavirus, Helicobacter pylori It is important to remember that cancer may or may not develop in different people in different ways. It is highly individualized as it is generated from a person's own cells. Cancer begins when cells acquire the ability to grow uncontrollably and ultimately invade and damage the body’s normal tissues.
