Thank you for your info. Will be doing extensive research on Bladder cancer. Live in Ontario, and had 6 BCG treatments. Results tomorrow. Your info was definitely calming with the results of BCG treatments. I am 74 and considerably healthy. Willing to experiment to prevent any reoccurrence of bladder cancer

Test was inconclusive. Two red marks inside bladder, uncertain cause. Scheduled for biopsy to see the cause.

I have recently seen Dr. Langer. I have Stage 4 NSCLC which is probably from radon. (My husband had the same cancer in August.) My PDL1 is 70% and I have no mutations. I am not a candidate for surgery (am missing upper and middle R lobes for the same cancer in 1997.), and radiation isn’t possible. I had my first infusion of Keytruda on Wednesday. Within 6 hours, I had a fever of 99.4 and was having trouble breathing. It took me hours to fall asleep. The next day, I was diagnosed with Atelectasis and am on antibiotics. They will not give me Pred because of the Keytruda. You have given me hope for other treatments if this doesn’t work or I cannot tolerate the Keytruda. Thank you!

So what happens to the already deactivated T-cells. Does immunotherapy only prevent new T-cell to attach to tumour cells? If yes, then can starting immunotherapy early give better results (considering the patient has PDL-1 inhibitor )??

I agree totally! I've done a lot of research on this drug as I have Clear Cell Renal Carcinoma and am recovering from a radical left kidney nephrectomy. I'm not trying to be negative just realistic: My oncologist was pushing Keytruda as the only course of action without giving me options. Such as CAR-T or Oncolytic Virus Immunotherapy. It was almost like he was trying to sell me a used car or getting paid to push Keytruda. Subsequently, I am getting a second opinion today. Some of the side effects of Keytruda can be devastating and on occasion irreversible. I saw one doctor (on YT) laugh as he was saying some people with trade getting lifelong diabetes for the hope of Keytruda curing their cancer. The side effects are no joke when considering the clinical trials, of my particular disease of only 994 participants of 2 years, have only resulted in barley a 7-10% disease free survival rate with Keytruda compared to people that did nothing. Every doctor, all of them, say if you experience side effects call them immediately. So, if I'm on a plane and experience breathing problems or uncontrollable diarrhea are they going to meet me at the airport and administer corticosteroids? Nope! The bottom line is it's a gamble. I'm not interested that the FDA approved this drug giving how quickly they approved all the covid vaccines with no clinical trials or the many other drugs that failed cancer patients in the past. Do your research and make educated decisions. For me, I will do what the most educated and experienced doctors i can find tell to do. In the end, Jesus is watching, and it is by his will every atom in this universe and me moves. God bless your journey...

Many thanks for the information, I am suffering from secondary liver cancer that spread from my colon apparently... I have had a colon resection, followed by chemo till I had liver resection, and then more chemo followed by radiation treatment on the Linnac machine for two tumors about 1 1/4 inches in dimension.... I now have new appearing tumors , six so I have been told, fairly small at this time... Is immunotherapy an available treatment for me... My health is otherwise very good, I am not a drinker and have never smoked... I am also a pretty young 74 year onld male... I reside in BC Canada...

Wow! Thanks. This kind of reminds me of Star Trek.Going into another world ,like Cells Trek.My genome test from prostate cancer biopsy, said my gene expression displays dividing cells or derangement(I think my doctor said). So would this mean cancer cells could be more recognized by T-cells ,with immunotherapy? I planned to call Decipher, to asked if MSI a factor in the test, because that would determine if I qualify for immunotherapy right? Thanks
