I love the idea of a two-act structure, where you have intuitive part, and then analytical part, checking where your intuition went wrong, and the general feeling and consensus. Good luck with it!

I can't remember when I found your channel. But when I did I kind of just binge watched video after video because I found CanChrisSolve entertaining. Just from watching you it's helped teach me to solve cubes I don't even own and someday want to own and I find that awesome. I bought a mastermorphix because of your videos and jeez.. even after watching you it took me 2 weeks to even wrap my head around the fact it's just a 3x3 shapeshift... Whatever you do with your channel in all honesty I'll still watch what you put out I love your content and look forward to whatever you make next. Take care and don't stress yourself! ^-^

A suggestion I have for a puzzle is the Skewby Copter Plus. It was a very fun puzzle to learn how to solve, and I feel like it could use some more attention due to how fun it is. Just as a warning though: it has quite a few different parities.

Sorry to see the algorithm throwing you aside. This is one of my favorite channels! I don’t speed cube at all and love non-wca, so it’s interesting to watch someone else try to figure out puzzles a lot of people don’t bother with and most channels don’t even touch.

I definitely wouldn't let it kill you man. KZbin algorithms can do things like this and it doesn't necessarily reflect how people view your content. You have an awesome style, you do great with finding puzzles that I have never heard of, it's well put together and we appreciate your work. My love for puzzles has been fed by your channel. I like the fun little easy puzzles and I would consider at least sprinkling them in every now and then. Please keep going and stay motivated. You should definitely have fun with it and only do it if it makes you happy. Keep your head up man. Don't let KZbin algorithms kill your heart. Enjoy it and we will do the same.

Hey man, I like your videos, and I do enjoy watching them. I like your attitude too, and I think you're a humble and very nice person. I know this isn't going to suddenly change the stats on the videos, but I thought you'd like to know that there are those of us who like your content and have always liked it, and you've made our days better by it, and you deserve whatever little positivity I can give you. I'm sure the other comments here support this as well. Even so.... What matters most is that you find pleasure in what you are doing, and enjoy what you are putting in front of the camera. I think your idea will work out for the better!! Cheers to you, mate.... 🙂 Best wishes for your videos. Have a great day.

As long as you stay true to yourself and what you love to do, the subscribers will be there. More importantly, you will enjoy being there for them. Most cubers definitely go through fazes. Im honestly tired of "hey guys! Watch me do a few sexy moves on the latest speed cube i got for free from my sponser and then give an impression on the cube after using it out of the box for 30 seconds" I've always enjoyed your channel and others that take the time to be unique and entertaining. Don't be afraid to change formats.

The new plan for your videos sounds great to me! I'm an avid speedcuber (albeit a slow one), but one of the things I love about cubing is the absolutely vast array of incredibly impressive and complex twisty puzzles that are out there. There's a few channels that do content on these more elaborate puzzles -- PeteTheGeek, SuperAntonioVivaldi -- but those are generally quite long, detailed tutorials. There's definitely a niche out there I think for more compact, upbeat and entertaining content on the process and challenge of solving difficult twisties. As I type this I'm about to order some notoriously difficult puzzles -- Eitan's Star, Bauhinia Dodecahedron, Master Pentultimate -- and I'm thinking it'd be a lot of fun to watch you get to grips with puzzles like these and share your battle-scars and insights with us :) Good luck on the new approach, I'm very much looking forward to it!

Hi Chris! My favorite videos of yours have always been the Can Chris Finish ones so you're basically going to be doing that all the time now:) I agree with many here that it's all probably algorithm problems you've been experiencing, and that can be disheartening; but if you make it fun for yourself again and treat it as a hobby you share with others (instead of another job) we'll be here to watch you play. Take care and I'll always be subscribed:)

You should do Melinda's 2x2x2x2 again. That one was really fun, and your first solve felt like a lot of things just kind of fell into place. More cynically, 4D rubik's cube is a pretty eyecatching title/thumbnail, if you care about that kind of thing. I personally really enjoyed watching you learn Roux a few years back, and I think a sort of "CanChrisSolve With This Method?" would be kind of neat, especially with some more obscure methods- human thistlethwaite, 2GR, those sorts of things. Maybe that's more my own interest, but I feel like exploring weird ways of solving puzzles you already have might line up with the spirit of CanChrisSolve while also fitting a nice middleground of difficulty. I hope this new style of video works better for your happiness with your work. I've enjoyed your channel for a couple years now, and stayed subscribed through ups and downs, and if you can be happy with your work, know that you'll find a community who will enjoy it- probably with me in it! Good luck going forward, and I look forward to seeing how this goes for you!

You could show mainstream users how to solve non-wca cubes. Many don't try because it looks scary and they don't know how to start. You could begin with 3x3 picture cubes then shape mods, parities and why oll and pll are seldom used, followed by strategies to odd and even layered cubes. You give a list of starter cuboids like 2x2x4 which can be solved with 1 alg (R' D' R D) layer by layer for those curious to try non-wca and even collab with Kewbsuk on non-wca to promote. For what you have suggested, you could explain the strategy at the start then you can show how it is actually done. I know i prefer strategy only to achieve on my own then if stuck, continue down the video for actual demo in how to apply it. Advertising puzzles by other designers also work. Mr Puzzle did very well with it.

First I'm sure it's not you! Lots of KZbinrs have similar experiences when they change their rules and algorithms. Unfortunately you may never be able to get an answer from them about why you're not getting anything like the views you used to. KZbin runs at a scale that makes that unlikely no matter how much they want to be responsive. I've heard of a number of content creators who know that their subscribers are not being shown new content they signed up for. Maybe you need us to opt in to notifications. I encourage you to push KZbin for answers and to not expect a response. I then encourage you to make whatever content you feel motivated to make, and not what you think we want or what KZbin wants. I think part of the problem is that you feel disappointed when you don't solve a puzzle the first time. But it's perfectly fine with me when you fail. You're doing that so we don't have to! :-) You can film your initial attempts, and decide much later whether you want to use any of that footage. It might be fun to see some of you failures on the road to figuring it out a puzzle. And whatever you do, follow your bliss. It almost always leads to great things, even if they're not the ones you originally aimed for. We love you Chris!

I enjoy seeing the variety of puzzles you encounter but I don't honestly think that your 'Can Chris Solve' series is the best way to showcase them. I would rather see a more objective review of each puzzle, how much you enjoyed it, maybe some tips and tricks, interesting features of the puzzle, etc. I've never really cared whether or not you were able to solve the puzzles, I just wanted to see the crazy variety of twisty puzzles out there.

You are very hard on yourself, but frankly, I don't quite understand why. You are not doing this for a living. Just do whatever you feel is right, you don't own an explanation to anybody. Just do what you're passionate about. People will watch because of your personality or because of the specific puzzle, not because you explained that the format will be like this or like that. Best of luck!!

I don't want to be rude, but I think it's the content affecting the views and the subscribers on your channel. I used to watch your channel over a year or two ago regularly along with other puzzle channels and origami channels. I also had an origami channel but as I grew up, I lost interest and spent more time studying. I am now 17. But when I was around 9, until the age of 15 I was very keen on puzzles and origami. I feel like most of your subscribers have done the same and lost interest in puzzles as they grew up. It's also a different time now. 5 years ago, people were interested in creative, educational videos. I used to watch Rob's world, Crazy PT, Jeremy Shafer etc but I haven't even visited their channels for over 2 or 3 years. I saw this video in my subscriptions and was interested by the title. I wish you good luck.
