That was so Awesome!! I remember when Murphy Brown made that choice. Living with a single mother, after my dad did what so many do and had up and left, I didn't get why it was a big deal. Jon Stewart looked like he was just about to cry. I honestly can't believe that there are people who support what Trump, Vance, and their ilk vomit out, but there really truly are.

My father died in a workplace accident 2 months before my 8th birthday. I had a friend who decided he was conservative, and then Dan Quayle made his statement on single mothers. Unlike the fictional Murphy Brown, my mom didn’t choose to be a single mother. When he tried to parrot Quayle’s rhetoric about single mothers, I let him have it and we almost got into a fist fight. I can’t believe that we’re back in the late 80s, early 90s again having this discussion.

We changed as a society after that. I was a single mom in the 80s and 80s. Only NOW is it looked down on by leaders (or potential leaders) of a free country. Worst part, women will be FORCED to be single moms.
