Prompts are the best thing to use rather than “ok put hand here, foot here, turn your head this way, Little more to the left, ok back some, ok now relax, etc etc.

I love the ‘run under the blanket’ idea… great idea!!!!

I would say the part about taking advantage of the good or the bad. If the kids have too much energy, have them run.

I love the idea of having mom and dad run up and give the kids a hug, and the running picture of the boys who were energetic. Thank you!

Thanks so much for your videos! Really appreciate it, especially when I have a family coming today and family photos are not something I normally do! There’s a lot to it, but how fun it must be to do this full time! We’re doing a studio shoot then outdoor today, fingers crossed it’ll go well! Your “goto” poses - really helpful! Thanks again

Great tips. Any other posing tips for a family with teenage kids that might think running under a blanket or getting tickled isn't really that cool?
@esquared.photography4 жыл бұрын
Haha great thought! We don’t do a ton of candid pics with the older kids unless they are a tight knit family. We then can do some giggle at each other, walking and looking different directions. Do you have any ideas?! We’d love to hear.

it would be really interesting to see a behind the scenes of a family session with older kids, and how that would change things from a session with younger kids and toddlers.

Hi! I just found your videos on YT a few days ago and am really encouraged by them! As a hobby photographer, I photograph about 6 families a year plus a few senior shoots. Posing is the hardest for me. Always. I really like your teaching style and I can absorb your material easily. I am encouraged to know other photographers struggle with two-year-olds 😂 Great job, ladies!

I do a lot these poses.. But Some the stuff you do like how pose the dad to the camera and how you sit mom that is very helpful for me. I been doing this for years.. I just sometimes go blank when I get to a session.. I do have repeat family sometimes I would like to do different things with them and always looking for ideas..

That’s such a good point that doing new things with the same family is important. Love that!!

What I would like to know and learn better is what settings you were using for each specific shot and where did you you focus? TY

Good afternoon for the session you used with the family what kind of lense did you use. Currently we have and 85mm and it blurred everything around in the background. Thank you for your time

What Drive mode do you use- do you use burst mode?
@esquared.photography4 жыл бұрын
Yep!
@ekaterinabolshakova85454 жыл бұрын
Ty!!! I know every camera setting is different but is it low or high burst mode and does it compromise quality at all? And does your camera have eye focus lock? Is there a video that explains camera settings you set for candid family shots?
@esquared.photography4 жыл бұрын
We have one for family shoots! It’s high burst and we use back button focus to lock focus on the eyes and always get nice crisp images.

Great movie 😍 Could I ask you for advice? I have a Nikon d800 and I cannot cope with focusing on serial shots (e.g. when the bride and groom leave the church, during wedding preparations). I set it to af-c and no matter which focus mode I choose (3d, auto, point), maybe two photos from the series are sharp :( the focus is escaping somewhere .. it's quite necessary for me, because I want to make gifs. I will be very grateful for the answer! ♥ ️

Hey!!! Take a look in our video description. There is a freebie all about focus issues. It should help for sure. If not, let us know and we can help troubleshoot. ❤️

How do you go with 6-8 family session ?!
@esquared.photography4 жыл бұрын
Great question. We try to do very similar poses it depends so much on the ages of kids.
