Don't glorify UPSC for being unconventional. There is difference between being irrelevant and being unique. Putting advanced level math with vague passages doesn't make paper worthy enough to solve . Sorry sir for being rude but for a candidate sacrificed youth, remained isolated in small room in rural West Bengal, given around 9 years is not a joke. Waise bhi syllabus to north India specific banake rakkhe hi hai, ghul milake 4-5 states ke log ruling over the country. There is a limit of tolerance and it will break someday. A fragile federalism is taking breath for merely 7 decades only.

dude. wake up. nearly everyone who fails this exam ends up in coaching insitute of UPSC or other exams. Even those who get services join these institutes coz good money for ex-IRS or ex ias with IITian graduate with work experience in private and govt. Mrunal sir is just one such guy. his "brand" of teaching is this-with memes and jokes. what differentiates Mrunal is - he knows his target audience and customizes his promotional tools and materials accordingly(memes, references, jokes). This years paper was difficult for me as i was not mentally prepared for such changes. I am currently working in central government and posted in Delhi, therefore most of my time goes in office and traveling. Still i study in whatever time i get. UPSC is a dream to me which i couldn't persue initially due to financial reasons. But since i get job, i decided to give all my remaining time to UPSC. I was confident till prelims. But after prelims i am hugely disappointed, not because i might fail in the prelims, but because of this kind of paper that forced me to think that the time i am giving to it, is sufficient enough to clear the prelims itself. But what can i do, i can just work harder and try to give everything i have but will it be enough that i am not sure now.

no disrespect, but sir you yourself work with a very prominent "coaching" who has become a large player in this UPSC, making false claims, gimmicks are also happening in the organization with which you work. I won't take name but a very prominent teacher of yours who teaches polity has taken fees from student on the pretext of completing syllabus later on he joined your organization and the commitment was unfulfilled .We as students could do nothing,no redressal. Some are trolling students for their choice of giving exam ,but the fact sir ki itne saare log country ke liye kuch acha karna chah rhe hai & the examiner is setting this kind of paper just to show it's "supremacy" is a misfortune for the country. To The Chairman, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, New Delhi Respected sir, I beg to state that the 2023 CSAT paper not only had much of maths questions which were harder- a total departure from the past- but also and more importantly these questions were very very time consuming. To the point that doing 30 questions in two hours was an uphill task. I speak for a considerable number of the aspirants who wrote this paper. It's very unfair because the point of this paper is to be a qualifier but the way this paper was set it felt like the point was to ensure most people from non maths background fail and thus are excluded. It is not possible to clear this exam merely by attempting comprehensions as the answers to the comprehension are embedded in subjectivity more often than not. It's rare to not do maths and logic and still get through CSAT just via passages. It's extremely heartbreaking to pass GS but not make it through CSAT because the paper was set in a manner to essentially fail most candidates. It's about our dreams, our extreme hardwork all going in vain. It's very unfair. In the light of the above, I request you to look into the matter and bring down the cutoff for CSAT or retake this paper. Many of us had this as our last attempt. Alright gonna be honest 27 comprehension 27 logical reasoning 27 maths I got atleast 21 out 25 comprehensions correct Did 16 logical reasoning questions which were easily correct So easily getting 85+ without even touching maths section. But again, if rural candidates who are not well versed with English who solely depend on math and logic, it was really a difficult paper for them Anyway, I have got a mere 55+ in paper 1. So done with this headache.

​@@truth4539 exactly upsc ne phir se proof Kiya hai ki newspaper ka koi supplement nahi phir aap chahe pt365 padho ya pt730. Upsc ne kabhi koi book nahi suggest ki hai student ne alag alag samay pe books ka Halla machaya aap topics ko detail Mai padho.

They mentioned that they will ask questions which will have relevance to career in civil services and will test candidates ability to analyse. But question paper was not concept based. Just random stuff was asked to test memory power. Fir bhi apko upsc ka bhkt banke rehna hai to thik hai.. I am out of this discussion now. Sorry for harsh words if any🙏

Yes UPSC is an constitutional body but can't we do anything regarding the arbitrariness of gs and CSAT. Students must unite and teachers also come forward what is wrong is basically wrong. it's high time to raise your voice

I think so even serious candidates should take a stand.. One has to stop this stupidity of simply following upsc and accepting it.. This absolute anarchic attitude of upsc should stop.. Preliminary was just meant to eliminate the serious aspirants from non serious one. Students are mugging up everything instead of analyzing.. Because of present pattern I anyways lost the battle hope the new aspirants take a tough stand against this instead of simply giving attempt . They should approach courts if possible. Upsc is simply asking everything under sun.. And the conformists among us are simply doing jee huzur
