Candlebox was an awesome band. Short lived, unfortunately. My son-in-law passed by suicide at age 20. Two weeks later my daughter found out she was pregnant with his son. My grandson is now nine years old and the light of my life. He shares his father’s name.

You need to add Stone Temple Pilots to your grunge list. Scott Weiland's voice was one of the great ones of the 90's. And another one we lost way too soon. I recommend "Sour Girl" or "Interstate Love Song", or "Plush" to start. I love the grunge era, so for me, you are playing favorite after favorite. Good work!

You’re entitled to your privacy, of course, but I can tell that this song really hits close to you. Congratulations on 3 1/2 years sober; I’m glad you’re here with us today.

Saw them last month and they still sound great. There were three songs written by his friends about Andy Wood when he passed. "Say Hello To Heaven" by Soundgarden and "Would" by Alice in Chains. In this song, the word "Maybe" was originally "Andy" but it was decided that was too personal and he changed it to "Maybe" which leaves it open to different interpretations.

O saeed. Yes nowadays it is a common story in this life. Yes it always seems to knocks me back( but not down) because I still hear my twin sister's laughter and the great memories. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. But I understand that sometimes peare in impossible situations and at that stage they see no other way out. Your channel is not jyst a joy but also therapeutic as we can share with other subscribers and show love and affection. Greetings from South Africa

They consider Candebox "post-Grunge" and for good reason. A lot more arena rock, big guitars, solos, soaring vocals than the traditional grunge genre. Their musical style is all over the board throughout their(Kevin's) career.

🎼🌿🍁🌿🎼 . .. well Mr. Saeed , I think you have found a certain genre of music that tells your life story. I am glad you found the path to sobriety. As it just happens, I have a story centered around these rockers , Silverbox. Should I share this one ? ... well here goes : In the early 90s I had moved to NYC and started my story there as a waiter in an Italian restaurant at the base of The World Trade Center , the Twin Towers. The restaurant was busy during the day due to the close proximity to Wall Street. It was not busy at night at all , but it had another branch with an identical menu in The Theatre District, near the opera house. I was one of only a few waiters that worked at both locations. On a night shift at location #2, I was informed that I would be taking care of a large group and that most of the people were from a Rock band. The band's name was Silverbox and there was another twist. I was told that Madonna would be joining this dinner reservation. I actually had waited on Madonna a few months prior there. It turned out that Madonna had a record label , I believe it was Maverick Records, and she was meeting the band with the goal of signing them to her label. So , the band arrived first and ordered some bottles of wine , no sign of Madonna for a while. Eventually, the band and their management people ordered their dinner. ..... Enter ... Madonna. She looked very stunning. This was her short very dark hair phase which totally highlighted her bright blue eyes. When she took her seat, I had to inform her that, "the gentlemen had already ordered their dinners." She surprised me by telling me she remembered me , and that she owed me an apology for the behavior of one of her dinner guests from our first meeting. It was all a little weird. I was a small town Country kid who was raised in Western New York who never thought I would even visit New York City , let alone live and work there. Keep rockin' Saeed.

I live about a mile from the house that this was filmed in. It was the Elliot farm mansion. In the 90’s homeless people and drug addicts would stay in there. We would eat shrooms and dare our friends to go inside. We did, but it was spooky. Sadly it was demolished and became a housing development on Maple Valley highway.
