As a lifelong resident of St. Louis, I can always appreciate another bowling region and the nostalgia in reliving older matches. I’ve really taking a liking to candlepin bowling and enjoy watching bowlers like Tom Olszta and Paul Berger.

Candlepin is really fun. I bowled in leagues as a kid and my dad did as well. I think my high single is 121 and I know my dad had a 125.

I actually like the commercials lol. I was surprised that I was enjoying watching them. And now I know when Dunkins came out with iced coffee.

Me too! It definitely adds to the nostalgia factor.

This was filmed over 3 decades ago. I wonder what the world record is now for most consecutive strikes in a string?
@OldDekrepitKegler2 ай бұрын
To the best of my knowledge, Ralph Semb threw 7 in a row when he set the world record back in the early 80s, and the last time this came up on Facebook early this year that was still the most in a row.

I've only seen 4 in a row but 7 that's crazy!

It's kind of amazing how many great candlepin bowlers lived in Feeding Hills specifically, not just Agawam as a whole. Charlie Jutras, Jeff Atkins, and Paul Berger all hailed from there during at least one of their appearances on Channel 5. I also find it funny that Massachusetts has so many neighborhoods that are part of bigger municipalities but people who are from there will specify their neighborhood as their hometown (I say this as someone who grew up in Greenwood and graduated from Wakefield High.)

Paul Berger was from Hopedale every time I saw him on TV.

@@burnlastsunday I thought for sure he'd lived in Feeding Hills at one point, I'm willing to concede I might be mistaken on that.

I think 5 people have bowled 4 strikes in a row during the run of this show and i think 3 of them were against Jutras
@OldDekrepitKegler2 ай бұрын
It happened 6 times in the shows history, Jutras was a victim twice, and the first one was thrown against Olztsa.
@williamdunphy3525 күн бұрын
@@OldDekrepitKeglerIf you are wondering, the 6 are: George Raymond Dick O'Connell Tom Olszta Jack Saniuk Jim Barber Jeff Atkins. 3 strikes in a row, in a string, is worth $1,000, and another $1,000 for every strike thereafter. Plus $50 for three marks in a row in the string.

Dude, you're killing me with your comments. can't you give us a spoiler alert or just let us watch it and find out who wins? You post in every single video about RIP don gillis, and then you even respond to yourself and say the same thing and then like your own comments. what's up with that?? I have a better idea... I'll just block you instead. 😅

Jutras game 2. Strike in the 9th. Gets 6 in the 10th …. But doesn’t go for the spare? 🤨 Yup…. Smart…. That 126 could be in the 130s or a low 140 game if he bowls it. But noooo
@JBSmallz773 ай бұрын
He had a spare in the 10th. The 6 was the fill. String over.
@johncirillo95443 ай бұрын
Charlie rolled a strike in the 9th frame then dropped 9-pins with his first ball in the 10th frame. He converted the single pin spare and is awarded a fill ball on the spare in the tenth (his 3rd ball in the frame). He dropped 6-pins for his fill on the spare.
