@Yeetus Defeetus royal icing, caramel, sugar cookie icing specifically, making a candy to the soft ball stage, or even a butter cream icing let it dry for a few days... but that may he the least stable

@@worried_sickk5811 my comment was JUST melted sugar because that is what he used caramel is cream and butter, candies also require melted sugar but corn syrup helps with the cool down and shape

@@worried_sickk5811 I think just sugar was a bad idea by adding like corn syrup he could of elongated the sticky factor with out fear of burning his hands and believe me hot melted sugar on flesh leaves the sickest of burns

The way jazza was talking about how disappointing he is when melting the sugar, it was almost like he knew what would happen

you didnt have to melt it, just disolve sugar in water to a paste-like consistency

For melting chocolate, it is best to fill a bowl with boiling water and put your bowl of chocolate ontop of that, it stopps the chocolate caramalising and makes sure it's smooth

You should make reactions like this, that you react to failed art projects. I would enjoy them too.

"It's just stripes of the stuff..." XD I'm sorry it was a failure, but this is so funny. I definitely think you should try this again though! You just need more research. Using isomalt instead of sugar would be a good start; they even have pre-cooked isomalt that can be microwaved for 20-30 seconds and then be ready to go. It doesn't have to just be used for glue either. Isomalt can be pulled into different shapes, or poured into molds. Food paint is also a thing that exists, or you can air brush things with edible coloring, make them shiny with cake gloss... all sorts of artistic options. Pastry art is actually a huge field though. It might be easier to start with something like frosting a cake, and just try a bunch of different things with frosting?
