These candy bubble gum cigarettes disappeared from the majority of stores but you can now get your hands on these sweet bubble gum cigarettes as you step back in time.
Candy cigarettes can also serve as a way to market cigarettes to children, as many candy cigarettes have branding nearly identical to cigarette brands.
Candy Cigarettes first appeared as a novelty item in the 1930's, following the popularity of chocolate and bubble gum shaped as cigars or cigarettes. Packaged in boxes that closely resembled actual cigarette packaging, the artwork often mimicked popular brands of smokes with similar names.
The selling of candy cigarettes has been banned in several countries even though they continue to be manufactured and consumed in many parts of the world. However, many manufacturers now describe their products as candy sticks, bubble gum, or simply candy.
