If you add a small amount of baking soda (like a quarter teaspoon) to the syrup before pouring, it foams and expands and makes it easier to coat things fast and evenly, it's a good popcorn ball trick

That marshmallow coating looks like liquid liver. I would say it's perfect.

I actually think the Marshmallow ones look better .... I couldn't eat any of those though as I tend to get sick when eating something that is sweet and spicy at the same time, same with sweet and salty like chocolate covered potatoe chips (dunno about US but you can buy thise in Japan)

I think you should have done them individividually, maybe pouring sugar syrup over a spread out tray of them.

What about white "chocolate" or milk chocolate? Too clumpy? Weird color?

I haven't seen anyone else mention this yet, but I can't get over the fact that you look exactly like Herb Kazazz from Bojack Horseman.

Wonder if this could be done with takis or equivalent snacks instead.
@igiveupfine2 жыл бұрын
oh totally. they just would look less like brains when done. cheetos are corn based, and so are takis. cheetos are just puffed corn deep fried, while takis are more like a rolled corn tortilla thats deep fried. but both are spicy savory seasoning. takis are a great suggestion for the wider flavoring choice. i was just thinking how ive seen lots of ALT rice krispy treats using cereal, but never alt rice krispies using savory cheetos as the base. this video is a lot smarter than i originally gave it credit for. i just thought it was pure chaos like he normally is.

I want to make these but hard candy. Extra crunchy!!!! Candy making depends on the water content of the sugar, that's why adding water thins it out. Same with caramel.

Something like that was trend awhile back! I did it with puffy Cheetos. I think they're known as "Coyote Droppings"

probably hard to find corn syrup outside of the US as well since nobody seems to use that stuff but americans
@CalebCalixFernandez2 жыл бұрын
In other countries it's labeled as glucose syrup or glucose-fructose syrup. They are more intelligent, to give it a name, and call the stuff what it is instead of one of the things it can be made of.
