What about doing an undyed skein of the same base, still held with the mohair. You’ll get a cute contrast end to your sleeves that looks very purposefully placed. It would be lovely. I’m sure you’ll figure out a great option. It’s beautiful!

Hi Deborah, there is a Candy shop in New York called Hercules Candy's who makes all of their ribbon candy by hand. I watch them on KZbin and have for many years. They are so fun to watch and are family owned. I'm in California so I've never been there. I enjoyed this episode sooo much!! Your projects were beautiful, especially your cowl. Yes! I am very familiar with that channel, it’s one of my favorites! He’s tried several times to make ribbon candy and even got an antique machine that he restored that is supposed to form them, but he couldn’t get it to reliably work. It’s so fascinating to watch. I’d love to visit that one some day.

Oops! I was mixing up two different channels. The one I was referring to is Lofty Pursuits in Florida. They mostly do hard candies and Hercules candy mostly does chocolates.

After reading your comment I literally ran to check if I still had my swatch, but alas, I had already unraveled it and used it. It’s okay, I dyed another skein, I’ll just have a lot left over. Better that than not enough.

Deborah your cowl is so beautiful!!! Love your podcasts and all your creative makes. When you were trying to show the inside of the cowl your camera did not focus on your cowl. I don’t know if it was just not enough time, because it was very short time, or if it was your face was showing and the camera was still focusing on your face but the camera never did focus on the inside of your cowl.

Yes, I’m so sorry for that! I noticed while editing that my camera was struggling to keep the focus on my face. It wanted to focus on the curtain behind. I almost didn’t upload this video but decided to just go ahead because I didn’t know when I could record again. I have a photo of it I will post on Instagram.
