Funny story, the origins of Heathers was the 1989 og movie. There’s a terrible Heathers T.V show but it sucks and the Heathers were always meant to be the typical Popular Girls, skinny blondies was the trend in high school back then and somewhat now, and Peathers (the stupid T.V show) took that and destroyed it. They look nothing like what the whole shtick with the original Heathers in the first place but you know inclusion and all that. _Totally_ makes sense, _clearly._ Make the (May I add, plus-sized) People of color and the lgbtq+ character the *antagonists* and the skinny cis white girl be the *protagonist,* totally not racist _AT ALL._ in case you didn’t catch on, it’s totally racist. I’m sorry for jumping off track but that really has ground my gears for quite a bit now.

Marilyn's random corner Don’t enjoy most “inclusive” shows now though. So many feel so FORCED it’s painful. If they could make the inclusion even slightly more graceful it wouldn’t be so difficult to watch. For example Brooklyn 99. Holt was done so well I found him very enjoyable. Rosa not so much. Her appearance as lgbtq+ felt totally random to me. It is more ingrained now but I disliked how they handled it 😕
