Great info. Thanks. When I was a young boy, my cousins and I would just buy the cane pole rigging and fish with it. We shifted over to the classic Zebco combos later. Now I want to slow down and try cane pole fishing.

I bought the black widow about 2 months ago , I haven’t been pole fishing since I was a kid , but I live in the Tampa bay Florida area and I’m gonna fish saltwater and see what the biggest fish I can catch on my new pole ! Sure hope it holds up 🤔

Little Jewel is may favorite panfish pole. My personal best was a 7 pound channel cat. Ironic part was I was trying to catch bait so I could fish for catfish. It took 45 minutes to get it in. After that I changed the name of that pole to Little Mule. Lost it last week fishing for bluegills, when a really nice fish a lot bigger than a bluegill took a dive under my kayak. The pole shattered at the third joint. It would have been nice to at least see that fish. Too bad the 12 foot models are all out of stock these days.

Good vid . I have been useing extending poles for 25 years.i have a south bend 16 foot stalker. And the durango . Pluse a few ultra skinny china ones. At first is was for my kids but as i try it i was hooked. Drift fishing in a small rivers . You can tuck or bow and arrow under hanging branch to the undercut banks. Bedding gills they are killer. Now I have my grandkids get me dinks for bate. They have a whole lot of uses.

Have you tried Tenkara style fishing with the Little Jewel? I have a rod length of masonry line, and a monofilament leader with a panfish popper fly on mine. It's a blast to use and much tougher to break than a standard tenkara rod.

Bro im a user for ( Pole Rods ) i want buy a new one from siweida brand....but its mention on the rod ( Fresh water ) so can i use this pole rod in the salt water or no at all and it might break. ??? Pls let me know brother

I bought the 12' model. Not liking it. The tip is problematic because the second section it should retract into is so small that the metal ring on the end will not pass into the second section. The only tie option is to knot the line directly to the metal ring. The knot increases the tip size so even more of the tip will not retract. - The small section came with a noticeable 'kink' in it; out of alignment with the rest of the pole. - The sections lock so firmly that it's difficult to get them to retract; the small section is the worst. - Basically i don't trust this thing and it's a PITA to manage as a portable system.
