Humble competitors/boxers are what kids need to see and learn from. He was humble like the many great humble fighters we’ve witnessed throughout the years. Even jack johnson a man with parents that were real slaves kept himself humble. James Braddock Ezzard Charles, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Joe Walcott are just a few great examples of humble men and they will always be remembered for their humility and respect for others.

Fitness, technique, and hours applied are major factors. Berlanga will be at a disadvantage in all aspects if Canelo is healthy. Berlanga will be surprised by Canelo’s moves, which have been honed over 25 years. I don’t think Berlanga can fight a patient fight long enough for points, so he’ll need to come forward. Fans might not fully understand the wear and tear Canelo must have experienced fighting professionally since he was 16. Ducking anyone talk will be irrelevant unless those fighters achieve something comparable to what Canelo has. I’d like to see a performance that positions Canelo as the next lightweight title challenger. I would also like to see Beterbiev versus Canelo, with both having ample training camps to heal, rest, and prepare. Regardless of the result, Canelo should consider retiring after the fight. Maybe he could secure a proper knockout of Jake and then retire. I hope Mike makes it happen though.
