the fact billy took liberites vs dubois after dubois eye was 4 times as bad as billies. billie got hit with one real punch his entire career and you saw the fight immediately fade out of him, his refusal to work his way back after the fight and the out of shape state billies let himself fall into all just goes to show you the kinda mental fortitude advantage daniel has over some one like billy. billy would have quit about 3 rounds before daniel did if he was in the same position as daniel in that fight.

I remember this fight! Canelo wanted Billy to feel comfortable in the middle rounds so that Billy would think what he was doing was working (not realizing he was being lulled into becoming more predictable). And Billy kept rolling toward the same direction when evading Canelo's counter punches all night. Canelo noticing this tendency set a trap by slyly stepping forward with his lead foot close enough to Billy to get in range of Billy's punches. Canelo also kept his back foot far enough away from Billy so that when Billy predictably attempted another leaping hook (followed by a quick roll to his right), Canelo instantly leaned backward onto his rear foot causing Billy to miss. At the same time, Canelo was also loading up on his signature shovel hook so just as Billy was fully committing to his roll, Canelo's shovel hook connected with devastating power. Essentially, Billy ran into a shot that Canelo drills incessantly during training for maximum power. Ali would have continued that fight until the end. But during the last 25 years of his life, he lost far more than his career as he paid dearly for having the heart of a lion.

I am from London in the UK but have never liked cocky fighters like Billy Joe Saunders, so was not overly bother when Canelo humbled him. And my respect for Canelo (which was already high anyway) increased when he got down on his knees to check on Amir Khan after that bad knockout, when some other fighters would have been strutting around the ring, pounding their chests and standing up on the ring ropes. One day a fighter will do all of that when his opponent is badly hurt and maybe even worse.
