First time since GGG that I am close to not having Canelo a favorite. I still think Canelo beats Bivol - but this is a fight I won't be surprised if Bivol wins either. First big test on a big stage for Bivol though and Canelo has been there many times. It's experience and power that I think Canelo has on Bivol. However, there is going to spots in this fight where Bivol will actually be faster. Bivol also has superior footwork in my opinion. Bivol seems to be able to take a punch really well too. But Canelo is a very good counter puncher with power enough to stop GGG from excessively pressing. Bivol is very good on his feet, he disrupts timing with in and out movement, distance control, doubling up on the same hand. He is much younger than GGG and still has an engine. He did look rusty in his COVID era fights but I imagine like everyone that you have limited sparring at the time and he should be much better. This is one of the fights i was looking forward to. Bivol always plans to go the distance and both fighters put work in to break down their opponents over rounds, although I'd suggest the edge in knockout power goes to Canelo. We will soon see if Bivol's distance and work ethic is as soundas it seems with a prolific counter puncher like Canelo. if there was anyone out there currently that could beat Canelo I see it as Bivol with Beterbiev being the only other one out there. Bivol vs Canelo is better stylistically imho. I hope Bivol is readyfor his big opportunity.

Beterbiev isn't that good. IMO Canelo beats him inside of 4. His chin is very questionable; he doesn't have one-punch KO power to hurt Canelo or get his respect during a fight; he's a fight that throws a lot of bunches to accumulate the damage, which, considering the those above, is what would make it a relatively quick fight. Beterbiev probably picks up the pace of pressure and output by Round 3 and gets countered as a result in a later round. This fight is not as easy to call as mny makes it seem. I have Canelo winning a UD, possible late TKO. Best to both of these Champs

I've followed Canelo over the years and I'm sold on him as a p4p great today, Bivol I really don't know much about but I've looked at some of his fights and now training and he's very good, he might even be a harder puncher than Canelo and remember he is a naturally bigger person. Fighters who went beyond their job like canelo, Mayweather pacquiao and some others worked out outside of camps to keep their bodies fresh. People who gain too many pounds and don't watch themselves like Benavidez and tank are going to age fast in their sport. It all plays a part in diet, your body gets tired of gaining and losing weight rapidly. One of the prime examples is erik morales; he used to balloon up in weight and dehydrate to make weights in fights. He only lasted till his mid-30s.
