Exceptional skill shown by both men and neither managed to land well consistently, or hurt the opponent the rare times it happened. That being said, golovkin definitely edged this fight. Canelo learned a lot from Floyd. Most Mexican boxers don’t fight like this. But I will say this, even though his defense has improved he’s still the same fighter. Canelo lost against bivol because he came to the fight very heavy, canelo is not a very tall guy and bivol is a 6 foot tall guy, it was obvious that after gaining so much weight it was difficult In good conditions. By gaining so much weight, Canelo lost what makes him stand out the most, his speed, explosiveness and strength, which is even common at that weight. In addition, bivol is also a beast in its weight and canelo arrived like a log of slow and little condition.

I have always said that Canelo throws his punches in a very "visual way". Even when he hits nothing it looks "effective" and impresses the public and judges. On the other hand GGG hands move slower and heavier and cause damage. But it's less obvious for the untrained eye. Look at the fight against Bivol. Canelo was swinging for the fences but just hitting the gloves. But again, looked competitive without really causing much damage. That has always been one of Canelo's trademarks.

1st fight i saw ggg won 2nd fight could argue it was a draw "in peoples eyes" 3rd canelo won id say in my opinion 333 got the better of canelo and thats coming from a canelo fan like i said, its just my opinion

@@avalos3035 in fight 2 GGG swept Canelo in rounds 10 ,11, and 12. GGG blasted Canelo in round 10 in that fight and Canelo started running after that and couldn't regain control. Even against 40 yr old GGG in fight 3 it was still GGG, not Canelo, who finished strong. Canelo fought GGG 3 times when GGG was already out of his prime. He got walked down for 10 rounds in fight 1, 6 rounds in fight 2, and 4 rounds in fight 3. Canelo got the decisions he got because of $$$ outside fight 3. The younger man was outlanded in the first 2 fights and gassed late against the older out of prime fighter. 1-1-1

@@gsimon123 actually. Canelo was wining those last rounds. Ggg kept hitting Canelo to the globe to the point y’all think he was hitting him but actually just missing overall. Canelo was dog walking him the whole fight. Canelo has the strength. Defense. Speed. Offense. Canelo was just a better fight overall.
