When I watched this fight I thought GGG edged it by a round or two. If Canelo took it by a round it'd be a bit shocking but somewhat justifiable. The judge who scored it 10 rounds to 2 in favour of Canelo should be banned from judging a boxing match ever again.

Eddy points out that Canelo can catch GGG by stepping back and throwing an uppercut whenever he (GGG) throws his two left jabs followed by a right; Abel also sees that and tells GGG that canelo might throw an uppercut so he has to throw a left hook and aim it at the left side of the chest (it could catch canelos chin if it lands). Amazing work by both trainers!!!

Golovkin honestly would make the greatest bare knuckle boxer in history. His fundamentals skills are out of this world. Who else had it 115-113 (7-5) for GGG? Canelo definitely took the first two rounds, but after that Golovkin kept smothering him, increasing his work rate and pushing him against the ropes each round, undoubtedly dominating rounds 3-9. Rounds 10, 11 & 12 go to Canelo, round 11 could've gone either way but I feel Canelo landed the bigger shots and had superior work rate in the final rounds, Golovkin definitely won this fight, what a shame.

GGG was older, took way more solid hits to the head, had a lot of ineffective pressure, canelo just accepted the look that he was losing to stay safe and look for a knock out on triple g. triple g pretty much sacrificed his brain for this fight. triple g tried desperately to sway the judges by feigning false pressure, taking massive head shots again and again. canelo knew that more than winning was at stake. this triple g dude was insane, decreasing his lifespan to try to get the appearance of a win. canelo hard wins. only a wise eye couldve seen that though.

I don't see that at all. Canelo is a power puncher. Those score you more points in boxing. On top of that GGG was missing like crazy. Punches thrown doesn't equate to punches landed. Canelo's defense and offense working in tandem make him a great fighter. As much as the tie upset me I gave GGG the benefit of the doubt. They had the rematch. Canelo clearly won that one.

I just scored it 6-6. Originally I had it 7-5 or 8-4 ggg. But looking at it now I think I was wrong and scoring non scoring elements. It was the shock of seeing canelo on the back foot. But I feel like for the most part ggg in his pressure wasn't overly effective. He rarely actually trapped canelo. And ggg was often missing shots. Interestingly I had it a draw throughout the fight. After 4, 2-2. After 8, 4-4. After 10 5-5. I think ggg took the 11th and canelo took the 12th. I will admit some of these rounds were extremely hard to judge.

I've watched both of their fights several times now. both these guys are amazing. not sure who is the best fighter. i think maybe if both fighters are same age, bothin their prime, maybe GGG. but man, GGG hit Canelo extremely hard square in the face so hard that it rocked him backwards into the ropes. Yet it didn't even faze Canelo. That punch by GGG would have knocked out any human yet it didn't faze Canelo. that being said, it seems no one will ever knock GGG down. Two of the greatest ever to step in the ring.

Ggg lost.he had no power didn't even once put Canelo in danger.canelo put that redness on his face and look at Canelo not a scratch.

The more you watch this fight, the more entertaining it is. This fight was extremely hard to score… I see why it was a draw, but that one score by the judges was insane. The fight was generally in favor of GGG

You can see the draw, it's in plain sight. Canelo first 3 and last 3 rounds. Golovkin won the middle 6 rounds. I scored it for GGG because I think round 3 was golovkins - 7 rounds to 5. But the draw was fair.

Once I was screwed out of this clear a victory it'd be hard for me to want to "settle the business." Gennady's getting older and might be past his prime now. This is in all likelihood the best fight he'll ever fight against Canelo. And Canelo's not gonna stop being favored on the cards. He's the chosen cash cow of the sport now. He just has to hear the final bell.

@@RatatRatR U believe the hype around GGG. Y he change trainers if he is so good? If he truly won the first fight y didn't he dominate the second and catch Canelo even more and stop him? A boxer like Ward or Mayweather who u compare GGG to would make it clear they won the fight as Ward stopped Kovalev or Mayweather clearly outboxed Maidana. Instead Canelo walked down GGG for 12 rounds in the rematch? Whose face looked worse for wear after the 1st & 2nd fights? Please learn some boxing.

GGG had the greatest power jab of any fighter I’ve ever seen. It wasn’t a “I’ll just keep you off me jab” it was more like a “I’ll relieve your gums of your teeth” kinda jab.
