Great video! So important in human life - freedom. It depends on you what you use it for and in what way. Freedom gives you possibility to make mistakes and learn from them. If you are free your mistakes are your failures and you know that only you can fix them, but your achevements are also yours. Your success is yours. And you are more happy to achieve something by yourself. Freedom is also a state of mind. You can be free even in captivity. But also “Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose.”(Janis Joplin). So do we have something to lose if we use English as a foreing language spontaneously? No! My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. So beautifully put and inspirational! Your videos helped me a year ago to put myself together and prepare for the IELTS test. I had problems with speaking (I mean I still have them but I'm at least not ashamed of them), and your advice come in handy to overcome my reluctance to make complex sentences when I speak English. The water pouring from the cracked pot does nurture the beauty along the woman's way. But it does more! Usually when we carry some load along a path, it gets heavier and heavier. Great to see you again Christian ! You are correct about mistakes, a very necessary part of learning. Language learning should be enjoyable and mistakes are part of the improvement process. The principle mistake I made was skimmimg over necessary parts of my language journey which appeared too tiresome but I'm enjoying revising them now and it's reinforcing the knowledge I have in that language.
