Hey guys, as a reminder, when LL was on EPMD’s Rampage & To Da Break of Dawn. He dissed them twice on 2 songs. “…you & your squad (Def Squad), should praise the real god…” And on the Break of Dawn, “…And all the want to be Sheriffs is gettin’ shot down…Gimme that Microphone, I’m a show you the real meaning of the Danger Zone….” My point is, instead of embracing the Compliment, LL realized that Canibus line could be taken out of context, just like all his lines with EPMD. When you first the song it’s Hot, but as time goes on, you eventually hear what was said & meant. LL didn’t want the same thing happen to him on his own track(s), or any others.
