The Canik Elite Combat is my #1 pistol for anything, even concealed carry. It's simply a fantastic handgun with a perfect trigger, and the METE fixes the only minor flaw it has (optic cut rear-sight loss). Get one if you don't mind it's made in Turkey. Honestly, I own German, Israeli, Turkish, Slavic, and American firearms, and they all get along great!

Is the reason why it sometimes jam is because of a too tight recoil spring or is the spring too weak? I have a Canik Mete SFX, first time pistol owner. I've had my TP9SF for about 5 years now. Roughly 2,000 rounds through it and I think I've had 3 malfunctions. The regular SFX does take larger dots... but people wanted to be able to retain the rear sight for back up irons.. so they shrunk down the dot footprint on the mete... I bet if they would just do away with that long loaded chamber indicator, then it would have plenty of room for larger dots.
