regarding the fitness/training: I played a season already and found the right balance (for me at least) with the automated plans.. when you are in that menu make it -> 50 (all out performance) 70 (performance-focused) 80 (all out energy) 90 (energy focused) not sure if that is the "best" solution of course but i did not have any issues throughout the season playing bundesliga, CL and domestic cup

With Huerta in the team, you have a Diaz backup already so Gakpo can be used as a rotation ST along with Darwizzy. I think you should focus on strengthening the Mid now that Jones is gone. Merlin from Freiburg is a decent option for a box to box player

also, regarding your energy and perfomance plan, I got you. All out performance i have at 70 and all out energy at 80, the other ones at N/A, only use two, theyll mess it up. I did a barca career mode and trust me, Yamal starts with like 50 stamina which sucks, and even if you play him every game, he starts with 80 fitness. that has worked great for me and I dont touch training plan anymore. Hope this helps

For a backup ST I suggest Kyogo Furuhashi of Celtic. He may be 77 overall but has 4 playstyles, he's super fast and finesses shots greatly. Also he's reasonably priced.

Fun fact Cani, if you say too many positive things about your players they can go from very happy to Complacent, and when you win any cup, the the starting XI that wins it all become complacent, fun little addition. You must have set the training plan settings too automated plans instead of manual so once you start the career you can’t change it, manual is the same as last year with the sliders where as automated only applies to players at a certain level of fitness or sharpness👍🏾

i bought van de ven to replace vvd after 1 year he became an 87 rating and we got 22 clean sheets on legendary dificulty with some simulations, but is such a solid player, i also sold endo and bought nicolo barella for that cdm and he gave me fabinho vibes strong powerful and carries the ball well has been a very fun career for me. i wanted to buy either wiefer or hancko too but i thought it would be too cliche with arne having managed them before.

Best auto training setting is to put both the middle on to 80. It's what I do and my players are always fit and sharp.

You need to change your fitness every match. When a player like Darwin has played you need to make sure he recovers, but also that he has maximum sharpness. You have to change it EVERY GAME FOR EVERY PLAYER. It takes 30 seconds or so to change it.
