Hi Frank, I have been antibiotic free for one year. I don’t even have a need for antibiotics to treat canker. I have been using Dr. Pigeons “Trichocease” for many years. It’s sold by Foys and works awesome. It’s all natural and I give it to the birds once a week in the water. I can send a picture of the label if you’re interested. Thank you Frank, I have lost few birds due to canker and cocci few yrs ago, when I split up the cocks from hens yes Stress played a big part in that .The birds are altogether again except one pair in my smaller loft I am useing for stock birds! The birds I have left are all doing well I had used metronizadole but the birds were to far gone and sadly died.. Thank you for your very knowledgeable videos.

Thank you. We are safe and evacuated 150 miles north of the where the storm will hit. We learned our lessen last storm a couple weeks ago when we stayed at home. We hope the storm lessens before it hits.

I've used flagyl and metronidazole in the past and it works good I haven't had any sick birds this year out of the 150 plus babies I raised like you I only medicate when I have to and I don't flock treat I put one and a half tablespoons of distilled white vinegar to the gallon in the water daily seems to work great I use Van beek oregano like twice a week and BVS (best vet solutions brand) minerals once a week in the water an Australian avian vet says that when the birds get stressed the lactobacilli in their guts die off allowing salmonella and e coli to run rampant but if you use the vinegar to keep their gut acidity higher that doesn't happen they say a healthy pigeons droppings are slightly acidic and sick pigeons droppings are slightly alkaline or neutral thanks for the info Frank!!!

Do that. Remove the canker and use apple cider vinegar.

when we had the heat wave (and i ran out of minerals too early)... i had some birds who looked stressed, and i thought maybe i saw something in the throat... so i just made a point of c hanging the water more often, adding vinegar more often, and yes i used yellow drops for a couple birds that seemed like they were not well. to this day i cant swear it was canker (my eyesight is poor, and i am not an expert at holding a pigeon, opening its beak, and peering into its mouth without letting go of the bird) but what i did notice was most of the birds never looked ill at all, and the couple "poorly" birds made a complete recovery.

hello Frank i have not treated my racing team with antibiotic last young bird season but i do weekly protected schedule except the yellow drop because it not sold here during the mid of race the apple cider vinegar was out of stock i tried lemon peel instead the result is quite satisfied me next month i have a new young bird season but the race go to northern part of the country Today my young bird team fly the second road training toss ok bye for now and thank you for your video😁

We were safe. We are on the second floor but ground level lost everything. We lost my wife's car but my truck was flooded and was the only vehicle in the entire neighborhood to run. It was like a tide rolled in and three feet of salt water. It was crazy and the neighbors said we never got flooding here in 30 years.

Hello Frank, I am facing canker issue in my young birds and almost in my loft my all pigeons get infected by this canker type disease, it starts from behind the pigeon tonsils tissues and it comes out with in 2,3 days and it affect pigeons eyeside, some pigeons become paralyze and shake or twisted neck after 5-10 days of sickness it kills birds very slowly 😢

Wow, this is terrible. Where do you live? You must work on building a good immune system. If you treat the birds constantly for canker they will never build a natural immunity. Focus on the birds that do not get sick if possible.
