I was 11 and they were absolutely hillarious. My mom worked at the club and we went backstage at the end of the gig to meet them. Absolute gents. Not a scrap of big headedness we sat and chatted for about 20 mins before i got their autographs and Bobby kept my liverpool fc oen by accident. Mom had to go back in the next day to ask him for it back......lol Brilliant back then....dated a bit now but shal akways remember the act and them with fondness

I can't understand all the people on here who post negative comments about Cannon and Ball. If you dislike them so much, why are you even watching them???
@adrinathegreat30956 жыл бұрын
mica steph because people like to revisist their childhoods, good or bad.. When this tripe was on there were only 3 channels to choose from, no mobile phone or internet, most didn't have a vcr. So most people watched the same stuff, many didn't like it, there must wasn't much choice. When you have more choice then there is more competition, and content is on the whole better, with little competition things get staid and boring

Cannon and Ball were, by far, one of THE best comedy duos this country has ever seen! Their contribution to British comedy is pure gold! Yes their humour is different than the drivel that passes for "comedy" today but they will live long and old in the hearts of those who let them into their lives on a weekly basis when they were on Television! I wish they would do An Audience With...on ITV!! Love them both!! And to all the idiots on here who slate their comedy genius...or all a load of prats!!!

Most people's memories of this are as kids, 5-10 years old laughing at it, it was aimed at kids same as playschool, neither of which I'd be in the least bit interested in watching as an adult. even as a 10 year old I found there humour cold and stale, they were nowhere near as funny as anything else on the TV, come to think of it, world in action had more laughs in it than this

Compared to the greats that were around in that era they were not that great but much better then the foul mouthed downbeat s;';'t that passes for comedy these days from the mouths of posh faux lefty shirt lifters like Jimmy Car. Never mind the fact that TV companies don't seek out proper comedians out with their own middle class PC crowed and instead pass of rubbish reality tv as entertainment.

Abslutly, peopld like Bernard Manning was brillyant.also.. all these PC womkers don't understand comedy back then it was fine to have a laf about birds or sooties and it was fine and nobody cared.this woke lefty shit is rubbish... just having a laf about rspe or periods or immigrunts doesnt mean your racist or sexyist, its just fun.the 70s and 80S were really ghd best.rickon timmy!
