They made the ship combat optional in a later patch after people made too many complaints about it. I still like to do it, but I know it's not everybody's cup of it. So feel free to skip it if you think it takes too long or if you don't like it.

I've enjoyed it so far. I just won't read everything aloud, unless I notice it's unique, since that'll really slow down the pacing of the game.

The ship combat minigame was a neat idea. Im not sure if it works all that well but still. You planning on any ship related purchases?

I enjoy it, though I was expecting a RTWP version. I'll most likely spend most my time boarding enemy ships. Not yet, since I don't know what all is available to me.
