In IT we usually call it either an Layer 8 issue, or the 90-20 rule. Layer 8 is a reference to the 7 layers of networking where the 8th layer is the end user. The 90-20 rule states that in 90% of all cases the issue sits 20 cm away from the monitor.

you can try pulling a worker to sit on his 'expo' so his cc has nowhere to go and if things are looking good and he lifts off you could put down a pylon to delay him more. Would buy an incredible amount of time from not mining as he either has to kill the pylon with workers first (of which you can put more down) or he has to find a base that doesn't have a pylon in it. As soon as he commits to pick up the next idea should be to deny mining time wherever he wants to go so you can gateway up

You can maybe learn probe micro to use with cannon build. Also, if Terran lift their cc and don’t have army unit outside their main you might want to block their landing. Again, probe micro is nessessary. Being able to drop building without losing speed and having access to mineral walk with a hotkey is really good.

If you put multiple pylons spread out in their base you might gain something from creating problems for them in more than one location and increasing the potential coverage of your cannons. Typically when the early stages of the cannon rush go well the defender is forced back into space away from the ramp but what if you were deploying cannons both at the ramp and in the dead / dark space? Also is there any potential for using batteries to allow you to win worker vs worker fights with some kind of worker aggression?

Harstem for the cannon rush builds, maybe just don't talk to the camera for the first 2 minutes. It seems like you're losing games just because of forgetting to send probes / forgetting timings which is likely caused by talking to us. We want to see you crush Terran so are willing to lose a bit of commentary if it means more Terran tears 😉

When transitioning to building cannons on the high ground, build them as close to the ledge as possible, I assume that would prevent the marines from killing them as they should be in range of the low ground cannons. It looks like you're building the high ground cannons too far into the base and they are easily picked off by the marines.

In game 1, you could have kept that first probe alive if you had shot the gap between the scvs rather than clicking the mineral patch which took the probe straight through the left side scvs.

12:20 I also just learnt that PWU means "problem with the user", so I must suggest introducing "PWH", which is a problem with Harstem when the user is Harstem, or "PWK", when the user is Kevin. "PWK" can also be "problem with Karen" so perhaps it can be a little misleading... PWY may also work, "problem with you", perhaps a little too confrontational

Hey Captain, On the game at the 21ish minute against the terran, would it not been better if you don't fight the bunker, but leave what's there and cannon rush on the top right side of his base too? I think he would not have been able to hold you from both angles with his 2 marines. Do you think it would be better?

That is a bad idea on high level, only with allins that can contain terran on 1 base for a bit it makes sense. When he wants to kill the terran outright he needs every mineral and 1 gas is half a cannon. You can easily see here how much difference that makes. It only made sense in the past with cannon into proxy with shieldbatteries but that is no longer good.

A super fast observer Canon rush sounds interesting. Plus I'm curious if a second pylon on the high ground on the other side of the ramp would give you 2 areas to antagonize at.

Also, the second pylon would mean a second cannon deployment. That would involve cutting workers and delaying a gateway in case the rush didnt work while only giving a tiny boost to the chance of the cannon rush working

25:30 I might have misunderstood, but when you said "gonna start splashing" and "all these are touching"... I don't think Tanks can splash 2x2 buildings like that. Ravagers can because they target a spot rather than a unit. Or Disruptors. But not tanks, I'm pretty sure.

If you're asking which race is stronger against it, absolutely 100% terran. Terrans should never ever lose to a cannon rush. The challenge for protoss and zerg is that they only have melee units when it is happening, so the probe can block itself off behind buildings. Terran has marines from the start so walls do nothing. Add on to this that they can move their production facilities away from the cannons, and that bunkers can be repaired by scvs which are out of range of cannons, and they can unlock units that outrange cannons pretty early on (factory + tech lab), and you see that terran has every advantage imaginable.
