I've got a Giant Suede 8-speed with a Honda GX35 4-Stroke 36-Spoke GEBE Kit on it. I too opted for front & rear Heavy Duty Velocity wheels. GEBE also pre-installed my drive ring and threaded axles. I also bought an extra drive belt, a highway gear, and the lowest trail gear too. I bought my bike new in late 2012 followed by the GEBE Kit and Extras around Summer of 2013. Believe it or not, the bike and kit are still like brand new as I had it all stored indoors all this time. Long story! Lets just say I've been busy with being a Super Daddy to my 2 girls now ages 13 and 7 :) Well, now that they're older, I'm finally looking to get my GEBE time capsule running for its first test run....LONG OVERDUE, but my 2 brats of course made the delay worthwhile. ;)

awesome video. as far as pedaling without the engine on, do you feel a lot of tension to where it's hard to pedal? can you keep your gears on also?

The extra tension is farily minimal. I'm able to hold an estimated 10 to 12 mph while pedaling without the engine. You can keep all the gears on the bike and still shift as normal. I upgraded the crank to a bigger gear so I can pedal assist the bike when the engine is at full speed and push it a little faster.

The engine is a very interesting addition. I would have liked to see a close up of the wheel drive "ring". The riding in the video was crazy dangerous. Passing moving cars on the right with 1' of clearance is a quick way to get greased motorized or not. Also, riding in the bike lane at 30+ is just dumb and may be illegal to do with a motorized bike. If you are going the posted speed limit then you take the lane.

what you say is true....but it's very hard to be safe on a motorized bike....it pushes you along very fast.....it's challenging....exciting, fun and dangerous.... I want to see these bikes improved...with more compact better engines...with beefier shocks.....these bikes truely need light weight air shocks......that would improve the ride tremendously.... I love this form of recreating......and traveling....it's dangerous...yes....but gives you an exhilerating sense of freedom....

Crazy Kup not cheap. $630 for the motor and mounts, I also bought the velocity wheel with thicker spokes. They mounted the drive ring for me with purchase of the wheel so 750 altogether

Are you still alive? I was scared the entire time I watched this. I'm not sure if those are legal where I live but I know you can't ride a 50cc scooter on certain roads in IL and FL. I think it's any highway with a posted speed if 45 or higher. Either has to be a certain size or able to go 45mph can't remember. But it's just so dangerous to share lanes and that thing is too fast for the shoulder. Be careful and sweet bike! How long do the tires last? My bike only gets 3000 miles per $70 pair of slicks.

hey is that a 2 or 4 stroke engine? I just ordered a 4 stroke honda motor im curious if it will hit 30 mph or just 15-20

This is a 2 stroke. the 4 stroke should be as fast, maybe just a bit heavier. Golden Eagle advised to give hmthe 4 stroke engines a break from time to time on longer trips

Evidently folks just dont know the rules of the road on bikes. NO YOU CANNOT PASS VEHICLES IMPROPERLY. Good Grief! how difficult is it to understand ..for most situations if a car is not allowed neither is a bike...especially a motorized one....drive defensively.

I've never seen that bike but Golden Eagle's website will tell you the specs the bike needs to meet. If you can fit a credit card the long way 10 inches from the axle between the forks the drive ring will fit. Rear axle needs to be bolt on and you need to be able to bolt the top mounting piece to the frame. Thats about it

Most Japanese mopeds and scooters cost 1,800 to start. If I had that much income would purchase a car. Chinese scooters are crap and break down allot. So that is why I purchased it.

TO this video and all other similar tubes I say bon courage! and this idea of commuting to my place of work would literally save me around 600 hours every year spent on waiting hopelessly at the signals and endless traffic jamming+1500$ worth of gas. BUT the level of carelessness and selfishness and irresponsibility the drivers are up to, renders this method of transport LEGALLY DANGEROUS .
