i have a touring ultra 2009 with suspention headstock, brilliant bike use it for my daily comute now bomb proof

I have the 56cm Touring 1 and love it, smooth solid and fun ride. I'm 182cm tall and agree the frame is on the compact side but the front end is also very high so I'm able to get a comfortable position and the reach is just right. Smaller bike feels much more fun to chuck around unloaded whilst still feeling stable loaded up with the longer chainstays.

I changed the brakes to TRP Spyre brakes and changed the small front sprocket to 24. Now i have a better gear ratio for the climbs.

@@berg-fietser Thanks. I'm 1.81cm I have tried the size 56cm of this bike. It feels a little compact, so much that I was thinking of getting a longer 13mm stem. Have you had the chance to try the size 58cm? If so, was that very large?

nope, I ordered the bike online in the UK, because they didn't have the triple in Holland (only the Cannondale Touring 1). I tried first a Cannondale Synapse 56 for the size, somebody told me to go even smaller. Its indeed short, I am happy with the compact size.
