I love that synthwave has made it into pop. It reminds me that the stuff I’m into is always a year or two ahead of pop culture. I absolutely love these 80’s synthwave drums with almost disco basslines and 80’s synths. Just amazing!

Ditto. In my case I fell in love with this genre back when Kavinsky, Chromatics, Electric Youth etc. created it and it was the soundtrack to the film ‘Drive.’ It was inevitable that people were ready for a “new wave” of sound just like the late 70s into the early 80s.

I hope listening to her favorite music will bring you some comfort. No matter how much it may hurt, its a piece of her she left behind with you and something you can still do "together", listening to it with her in your memory. I've once heard someone say that grieve isn't just sadness and pain, but intense love that has nowhere to go. In a way that is kind of beautiful and puts a whole different light to grieving for a loved one. I hope that wherever your journey leads you that you carry her memory and that overtime you find some peace. Words cannot ease the pain but know that I will now think of your GF when I listen to this song, my brain really works that way. Take care
